Super nice place! The view it’s incredible, and food delicious…if you need a place where you can chill and enjoy Porto Santo vibes you’re in the right place!

La Siesta is a gem!!! It's a bit hidden, bit if you like a unique location plus a lovely host plus great food - this is your place to be! We chose it because of its vicinity to our hotel the beach. Actually it's right at the beach. We had Coconut Shrimps an Bolo de Caco for starters. The Fish'n'Chips plus Greek Salad as main. The Fish was Espada and delicious - as was the rest. Cheesecake for dessert. The mojito was nice, although I've had better. The service was attentive, friendly and smart - we almost felt at home :-)

Our first night in Porto Santo and we were recommended a number of places by the owner of the house we rented. We chose La Siesta and so glad we did. We were a party of 5 and tried a number of dishes, both starters and main courses. Every one was delicious. My daughter thought this was the best bolo do caca (pardon spelling) was the best she’s ever had. The pichana was plenty for two and also a nice selection of fresh fish- we chose the Robalo or sea bass- again enough for two. You order the sides separately, we chose fries, roasted potatoes and veg. All were great but the veg selection came in a roasting tin and was superb. Overall the menu is quite small but most will find something. The house wines were lovely and reasonably priced But the best part of the evening was the spectacular setting and view over the port, mountains behind, and full ocean view. If you are on the terrace maybe take a cardigan or thin jacket as it does get quite breezy My final word is for the young lady chef who came out for a chat after we’d finished eating which was a nice touch In summary just a lovely evening- highly recommended

Beautiful setting with the best table on the island for lunch or dinner over looking the sea. Fantastic friendly service and top quality food and drink. Highly recommend.

We visited La Siesta on a recommendation from some of our family who had been before and it was fantastic! The service was friendly and efficient and the food (we had fish and chips) was superb. We also ordered mojitos which were so good we ordered another lot! And the view is possibly the best you can get - would definitely recommend and will be back for sure. Well done La Siesta team - keep up the great work!

This spot is great for a fun night out with friends, great location, by the beach side, amazing sunset and the best part...was the food! We tried different starters and main dishes between each other and all was delicious ? I highly recommend this iconic restaurant, special place to create new memories and try new flavours of the island ?

We visited recently while on holiday but we have been here before and I must say they’ve really blown it our the park this year. The food was incredible. I had the clams with a portion of fries, my wife she had the vegetarian burger, to which she said it was the best veggie burger she’d ever had. So that was her happy, happy wife happy life ? It really is best place to have lunch on this island especially with those views. We’d be here every day if we could. Thank you for making us feel welcomed and chatting with us.

Such a great hidden treasure. I got a superb fish & chips , all the staff we spoke to were lovely & friendly! Overall really great lunch on the beach. We will be back for sure !!?

They took our reservation, confirmed it by phone, we FLEW to Porto Santo especially to celebrate a 50th birthday at this restaurant, and they were closed. Absolutely untrustworthy, and cost us several hundreds of euro. Best avoided
