“Finally a restaurant that has a good offer of vegetarian dishes. Everything is well chosen and delicious. The service is paying attention and doing a really good job as well.It is not the cheapest restaurant in Porto for sure but it is worth the price. I can only recommend it to everyone that is looking for something more special.“
“Great variety of food in an all-vegan buffet. Creative and tasty dishes. A meat-eating friend who ate with me enjoyed it as well. We took the bnoffee pie for dessert, it came as a generous portion. I didn't expect such a unique place in a shopping center. Highly recommend.“

“Perfect, very good value for money, with exquisite dishes and impeccable service. The plates are well presented and above all well filled!
The French speaking waiters are a real plus for tourists like us who don't speak a word of Portuguese.
The setting is also magnificent, with a beautiful view of the sunset over the ocean. The only thing missing is some light outside, but as soon as it starts to get dark the waiters place small table lamps, which is more than enough for eating.
Very good experience, you can go there with your eyes closed.“

“The green guide recommended it to us and we were not disappointed! The dishes were all delicious! I recommend the bacalhau, the pica pao or the typical sandwich here, the francesinha! Served with fries, this hot sandwich is delicious! It is not like a sandwich but more like a typical croque monsieur.“

“Pretty decent spot. Good soup, great tripe, and good grilled meat. Service was good too, even though english was not their strength, they made sure they gave their best. We were very happy with everything. Its also a nice spot to watch the sun going down“

“I really enjoyed the Korean Fried Cauliflower—the crispy coating and sticky, spicy sauce were a great combination, full of flavor without being overpowering. The mushroom ‘duck’ pancakes were just as good, with a nice texture and rich, savory taste that worked well with the soft pancakes. Both dishes were well-balanced and definitely worth ordering again.“

“Tonka Bean,A restaurant that leaves us open-mouthed and smiling from ear to ear.For a meat lover, going for a vegetarian gastronomic experience is initially something that leaves you apprehensive. But, I couldn't be more wrong."What good thing!" From the starters to the dessert, from the atmosphere to the decoration, from the friendliness of the room to the talent of the kitchen,... without a doubt one of the best experiences I've had the pleasure of having.Thank you Tonka Bean“
“It was our first stop in Porto as we were looking for something close to our location and vegetarian. We did not know that it was a closed menu at noon but we were pleasantly surprised. We loved the food, the attention of the girls was impeccable. I loved the homemade kombucha and the price for the quality served seemed even cheap. A shame about the location because it is quite hidden and you have to look closely.“

“A pleasant surprise! I'm a fan of Indian food, but I was a little tired of the curry always tasting the same, and it seemed like restaurants limited themselves to making the same recipe. At Nikki's Canteen, the food has a unique flavor, the spices have a prominent place in a perfect balance, they do not dominate the flavor of the vegetables. It's worth going there!“

“We took the 32 maki pack and we loved it. The presentation is perfect and the different flavors surprising. I gave it 4 stars because it was excellent and vegetarian, what we were looking for, but I took one away because the products were not in season (strawberries in February). The delivery was late (1/2 hour), so I give the service 3 stars but vegamaki is not responsible.“

“There are delicious veggie foods and soups which were perfect option for us who felt travelsick and require bit fiber support :) All you can eat is 10.5€ with juice 12.50€ , found it bit pricy since we were able to eat only a plate but definitely recommended.“
“None of us stayed in five bed apartment - plenty bathrooms and towels . Brilliant device. Only issue was the app to unlock the door never worked for us so we couldn’t get through the door if the group split up and also only one full length mirror however I would still recommend this apartment to any group visiting Porto“
“It’s a buffet like place, with lots of choices, some vegan, some vegetarian, and you can choose a bit a everything. I’ve lived in Maia for a lot of years so going to Vegi was something I did very regularly and was never disappointed with the food, the variety, the quality, the taste and the friendly service ? all this with a very fair price! Highly recommend you try it for yourself. It’s a place I brought a lot of people I know and they too became fans of this place! Updated from previous review on 2024-09-16“

“The restaurant is located in a more residential area of Porto, away from the city center. My partner is Omni, so we usually want to find a place that will make us both happy. I am used to Omni restaurants having a few vegan options. This is a vegetarian restaurant with a few Omni options. Most of the items are vegan or can be made vegan. I had risotto with a port wine sauce, with capers and pomegranate. The flavor combination was so delightful. For dessert we shared an apple tart with black vanilla ice cream. They also had an extensive menu of organic wines. This is a great date night option. All allergens are clearly marked.“

“My husband and I ate at tasco last night and couldn’t leave Porto without giving a review. One of the best dinner experiences we’ve had while traveling. Beautiful restaurant on a slightly less busy street. The food was incredible - creative and cool while also being delicious and crushable. The people serving us were wonderful - Joel and Bernardo especially. You feel like you belong there, which is a fresh feeling as a tourist. Highly recommend making the time to eat here if you are foodies like us. Obrigada, tasco!“

“Very pleasant place to have an aperitif with the late afternoon sun on the terrace. The interior is very welcoming and original. We liked the vinho verde, but beer was very popular on the terrace. Nice neighborhood place where you don't feel too many tourists (even if we were!). Great!!!“

“Good place to eat if you want big portions as a vegetarian. Most of the food was good, however I found the garlic bread to be stale. It's an unlimited buffet, so you have to serve yourself, so don't bother going to a table before getting food. Limited drink options too, so don't expect any big brand names like Coke or Pepsi. The couch furniture near the back of the seating area is a little torn.
Vegetarian options: It's all vegetarian/Vegan.
Dietary restrictions: All the food is vegetarian/vegan, sorry meat lovers.“

“Da Terra appears to be a chain of vegetarian/vegan buffet restaurants across Porto. We went to this one and the one across the river in the market at Gaia riverside. There's also one near Sao Bento train station in the tourist area, but we didn't try that, just noticed when we walked past. We found the ones that we went to by chance. I don't know if there are others its really hard to find out on the internet. I've just looked and they do have a website and appear to do cookery classes, which I wish I'd known about whilst I was there I might have gone. We really enjoyed both of the ones that we tried, a really nice variety of hot and cold flavourful fresh dishes for 10.5 euros and you can go back and get more if you have favourite dishes. Both the ones we went to were fully vegan. Not sure if that's always the case because I get the impression the dishes vary every day. I would definitely recommend and wish we had something like this in our home town“

“These are some of the best cakes I've had in Portugal. They are very creamy. The decoration of the premises imitates a simple factory. If you arrive at a good time you can see how they prepare the cakes from the display case. So if you want to make a short stop for a coffee, this is a good place.“

“Tiny place with an open bar where Hans the chef prepares all the food. We had only vegetarian dishes, and everything was amazing! Hands down, one of the best and most creative dinners I have ever had, that goes along with a great selection of wines. Service was super friendly and professional.

“A very nice place, very attentive staff. The worst thing was the wait because since the restaurant was small we had to wait a long time.

“This is a local restaurant.
The location is quite remote.
I had fried octopus and sardines.
The fried sardines are really seasoned just right, and they're just rice thieves.

“I visited the restaurant on 06/04/2024.
My girlfriend and I tried the tasting menu and beyond words, I can only say that the food and service are worth every € spent. The choice of dishes and snacks is incredible, and the monkfish dish blew my mind, it's simply magnificent. The pork belly is another dish that exceeded my expectations and the desserts were wonderful.
Looking forward to meeting Gastro and returning to Elemento soon.“

“Spectacular and delicious everything
We had not reserved a table, they treated us very well, despite everything being full, they found a place for us.
The food was excellent, the octopus with risotto was tremendously good, the meat, the cod...and many gluten-free dishes, highly recommended for celiacs who are difficult to find places.
Without a doubt we will repeat
Thanks to the lady and the boy with glasses who were super kind and attentive.

“Porto doesn't have anywhere near the amount of plant-based/vegan restaurants/eateries that Lisbon does; however, daTerra came highly recommended and was a close less-than-10-minute walk from our apartment on the Ribeira, and their buffet offered us a good amount of choices all being 100% vegan. (And, too, the prices were cheap--can't complain about that!) Apparently, the buffet changes daily, so for our 3-night stay in Porto, we popped into daTerra twice (once for lunch; once for dinner). The staff on both occasions were simply terrific--a great group of people! For me, let's say two-thirds of the buffet was YUM; one-third was not to my liking. But, hey, that's a buffet for you: somethings are hits; something are misses--that's why you've got a large variety of food stuffs to choose from. Wines and beers were extra, but food and drinks are so cheap in Portugal that it didn't matter. The fancy desserts were extra, as well; but, again, who cares if it tastes great and is reasonably priced! In sum: daTerra's food rates a very solid 4-star rating from me, and I give it an extra star for the friendly service.“

“I found an amazing spot in Porto where I tried the best Portuguese Custard Tarts (Pasteis de Nata) I’ve ever had! “One of the most emblematic pizzerias in Porto, it has been around for a few decades. Friendly and competent service...
The garlic bread is divine but in general everything is good and well prepared.
My favorite is the cipole pizza with onion and chorizo.
Ideal place for a quick meal but also for something longer with a group.
The lack of parking is a problem, but on the back street there is a public park that is approximately a 5-minute walk away.“

“4.5/5*
This was a dense and large francesinha, utilising a lot of cheese and with a medium-rare sirloin steak inside. The chorizo inside was Smokey, salty and perfectly spiced. There was also a beautifully creamy, fatty, melting mortadella included in this francesinha. The sauce had the perfect balance of sweetness from the port, spice, creaminess, a savoury tomatoey flavour and a slight bitterness from the beer. The egg on top was ideally runny, the bread was lightly crispy, and the cheese was thick, creamy and deliciously high in cholesterol. The chips on the side were outstanding in combination with the sauce, crispy, salty and ready to be drenched.
The Pasteis de bacalhau were incredibly creamy, made from potato, dried cod fish (bacalhau: a Portuguese delicacy), onion, garlic, olive oil and parsley. The interior was soft like a mashed potato consistency and the exterior has a lightly crusted, hash brown like layer. These croquettes are easy to come by all over Portugal, with both the smallest of restaurants serving them and also the most sophisticated ones. We appreciated the slight nutmeg flavour in this batter.“

“Between us we tried everything on the buffet and there was only one thing we weren't keen on. Then went back for seconds for our favourites, all included in the charge. 👍 Desserts looked great but we had already stuffed ourselves so maybe next time we are in Porto. Serving person was so helpful because it was our first time and we didn't know exactly what we were doing. We would definitely go back.“
