Cantarinha do Guadiana Reviews
Good house, good atmosphere, good food. The price is in line with the quality. Repeating.
Cozy place, well prepared food and exceptional service.
Unfortunately it started to rain and 3 groups that had just sat on the terrace had to be relocated to the room and therefore the service was quite slow.
Highlight for desserts

Cantarinha do Guadiana offers exceptional food, with highlights like fried eel with shrimp stew and swordfish fillets with cockle rice. The atmosphere remains traditional Portuguese, showcasing a rustic tone. While the service can be slow at times, especially during busy hours when groups need to be relocated indoors, the quality of the food makes it worth visiting. The restaurant features tender meat, crispy crumbs, and exquisite dishes like cockle rice, along with standout desserts such as carob and orange tart and almond pudding. The xarém is noted as one of the best, and the eels are fried to perfection. Despite being pricey, the experience is remarkable due to the delightful food and friendly staff, making it a great choice for those seeking good Algarve cuisine.
