“I have tried my Portugese tarts in Portugal but the tarts here are one of the top two best places in my opinions
The Pastel de Nata pastry was fresh and flaky and crispy, the filling was light, soft and also creamy, not too sweet like some other places. I ate one there and took one away to eat on the Camino and the pastry stayed crispy till later in the day. Coffee was divine
I was soo happy that I came by“

“Good snacks, very good francesinha, also served with a very fresh champarrião to help with the food and a chiripiti to help with digestion. Overall, good service, fast service even when the house is full and prices are average.
Parking: Plenty of places nearby.“
“A super friendly and amazingly tasty cafe. We went twice during our holiday. Great service, very friendly staff. A super selection of interesting drinks, and the burgers were fantastic. A perfect place to have a meal with views of the beach (and fantastic sound track!)“
“This is an outstanding stop on the Camino Portuguese - an unassuming cake shop with magnificent cakes and delicious fuel for the pilgrim. After dancing up and down through the houses in the woods this is a very welcome stop in Ancona. I was slow out of Viana do castelo today and it took me 5 hours to reach here. Had I known how tasty the cakes were I might've just got a train straight here. When I come back to do the Portuguese way I will miss out the first stretch out of Viana and get the train one town up. It's a beautiful walk on the hills and fairly shaded. You get great views of the sea and then wonderful Cake shops like this to fortify the body for the next shift to Caminha. Thank you.“

“Exquisite breakfasts, and very good pastry too.It would be necessary to improve the decoration, tables and chairs.Sometimes it is very crowded and the wait can be from 30 to 40 minutes, of course, if you don't mind waiting, it will be worth it.“

“Still my fav place in Vila Praia de Âncora for vegan options. There are plenty and the prices are fair. We always have experienced a very good service and good food.
I don't know what the actual reason is but I like that you stick to the concept and offer so many vegan dishes besides the meat options. Thank you!
Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegan options <3“

“Located in the historic center, in a very busy place, it has a terrace in the middle of the street and a large annex space in front of the main store (prepaid service).
It has a wide variety of dry sweets, biscuits, traditional pastries and savory cakes - be careful with the spicy samosas (they are really spicy, but they have a non-spicy option).
There is also a variety of snacks (fast food, sandwiches), with emphasis on prego na bread: it is served on a huge rustic loaf, including omelet, cheese, ham, tomato, bacon and lettuce. It’s perfect for sharing, as it’s very generous.
Quite fast service.
It's worth trying.“

“Excellent cafe with a terrace in the spectacular Caminha square.
The best-known and very good cake is the moka (puff pastry with a soft coffee filling. Very good!
Pleasant atmosphere inside, with an excellent music selection.“
“We came here spontaneously to grab some drinks. After some communication hurdles we managed to get our order across and overall waited for about 15 min from sitting down to having our drinks served.(And yess we were german pilgrims, I really don't know where this nationality thing, everyone in the reviews writes about, is coming from since there was no different treatment for us.)We didn't have any food so I can't leave a statement on that. The prices were actually pretty low (at least for the rather simple drinks)Overall a pleasant experience in a very nice surrounding!
Parking: You shouldn't come by car. Since there is a limited amount of street parking spaces available, they'll probably all be taken.
Wheelchair accessibility: barrier-free access to the outside tables(but a few steps leading inside)“

“A very nice and reasonably priced restaurant/cafe with an extra vegan menu! Here you can find everything from pastries to ice cream and some main courses as well as other snacks and drinks. The vegan pizza was quite good, but a little more topping wouldn't have hurt. The vegan sandwich for breakfast was very tasty, I can only recommend it. Coffee with plant milk is usually available here too :)
Vegetarian options: A few vegetarian options as well as a complete vegan menu
Dietary restrictions: Vegan, Vegetarisch“

“I'm on vacation and here I've been coming for 5 years, a mandatory stop, this passion fruit sangria is addictive, I have to go there every other day, tomorrow I'm there again and even better facing the sea in Vila Praia de Ancora, could I be better? It could be, but it wouldn't be the same without this sangria......you're crazy if you haven't been there yet and even crazier if you don't try that sangria“
