Overall I would say overrated.
Whiskey (2 sips) served hot.
Cold scallops served on a warm plate which made them become a kind of jelly.
Veal duo: 2 small pieces of sweetbreads with 3 bites of fillet. A la carte and for the price, you'll be hungry when you finish.
Wine by the glass, again unjustified price compared to the quality of the product.
They forgot the bread and didn't have much knowledge of their menu.
In the end: $450 for 2 which is not justified. Many better options in the area.

One of the best brunches I have experienced in Quebec. I definitely recommend to drive there to try it once.

Pros:
-Good variety of delicious food. For 55$, you can eat what you want from the buffet and order a side plate.
-The truffle eggs mimosa are delicious, as well as the croissant, pain au chocolat, fresh salmon, chocolate mousse, etc. Really worth trying it all!
-The ambiance is cozy, and you can sit at a table on the terrace next to the lake during all seasons - even in winter and while staying warm.
-The service is courteous, and decor simple but nice.

I recommend to reserve a table a few days before if you don’t stay at the hotel.

Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options available on the menu and in the buffet.

Parking: You may use the hotel’s parking, which is limited.

Great service from Joanie despite a quiet evening in the dining room. The food was excellent, a good selection of wines, warm decor, well done!

Skimpy food with overpriced menu - felt liked they were just pushing fix menu for more money - food was not what menu stated. Disapponting and way over priced .

We went to dinner with a couple of friends last Saturday evening unexpectedly without a reservation. We quickly got a place on the outdoor terrace of the Le Riverain restaurant and everything was perfect. We ate the filet mignon and seared scallop risotto. Nothing to complain about, from the service to the presentation of the plates, to the taste of the dishes, it was PERFECT!

Very good but not up to par with the competitors on the other side of the lake! I like the layout and the service.

The settings were splendid. We had our meal outside and it was magical. In general the food was ok. I had the foie gras appetizer and it was too cold for my taste. Also too sweet as well. It was almost a desert. I had the fish as the entree and it was well cooked (not too much) but lukewarm. The cheeses at the end were way too cold. Normally, I don’t mind some of these things but with a stellar price should come a stellar experience. The wines are very expensive and that propelled our bills upwards 700$ for 3. This, even if we took the lesser expensive ones. My two other guests also found the food ok but not more.

Our culinary experience was excellent, all the dishes received were exquisite, researched and executed well, although the service was very poor for a high-end restaurant like that. I expected to have adequate service but this was not the case. Sommelier tells me who judges the choice of my bottle of white wine but which is still good I don't find it a good place coming from that part. I helped myself to all my cups of wine because no one came to refill. As for the food which was delicious when I asked questions the waitress was not able to answer anything. Didn't come to see us to find out if everything was to our liking. Forget our requests for drinks or bread/butter. The service would need to be reviewed, especially for a restaurant like yours. But you have a chef in the kitchen who knew how to raise the score because his dishes were all incredible, even my partner who doesn't like mushrooms ate the free butcher's. Unfortunately for the service we will not be returning.

The location was beautiful and the service great. I’m giving the 3 stars based on the food. I have no issues paying top $ for my food, as long as the quality comes with it. My duck was soo tough and my partners filet mignon was nothing special for $80. It was no tender and flavourful as a filet mignon should be.

On our driving trip from The Point at Lake Saranac New York to Quebec City we stopped off at the Ripplecove Hotel & Spa in Ayers Cliff, Canada. We enjoyed the hotel and had a special evening as we dined at Le Riverain at the inn. The view of the lake was spectacular. The ambiance was great but the special part of the evening was our server (and the Maitre d'hotel) Mr. Roy. He is a great server including funny, charming, knowledgeable and prompt and on top of all that he is an amazing piano player. A great evening which all should experience!
