First time there. Very good service, being with friends in a cozy corner (a bit hot for the one in the corner 😉) gave a sweet atmosphere, but I need to admit the FOOD is outstanding, which is what we should expect from a restaurant! I ordered a Filet Mignon (my fav) medium, not only it was spot-on, but it just melts in your mouth, simply divine! That would've made my evening, but I dared order the apple donuts with caramel coating: fabulous!

I still salivate rethinking about it.

I love the Vieux-Beloeil for their restaurants and nice scenery, but it's worth 110% your money!

Will go back for sure, thanks the staff and chef!

If you’re in the process of choosing a good restaurant in Vieux Beloeil and your priority is gastronomy and excellent service, this is the place to choose. OK, it’s not located by the river so you don’t have the charm of river and mountain view. However, Et Caetera has better cuisine and more professional service. Also, surprisingly, it’s more economical than the other restaurants in the neighborhood. Another substantial advantage is that here you can bring your own wine which has a considerable impact on your bill. So don’t forget to bring a good bottle of wine from the SAQ because they don’t sell any on premises. Its one or the other here in Quebec. At the time of my visit, this restaurant was only open in the evenings, not for lunch. The outdoor terrasse is where you want to sit on a nice summer evening but it’s a little tight and crowded. They also have plenty of indoor seating which seems more spacious and comfortable. Making a reservation is a must. I had the fried squid which was delicious and served in one piece but sliced (original) and the carré d’agneau which was cooked to perfection (rosé). I highly recommend this restaurant for fine French cuisine and best value for your money.

Mercredi soir, 20h. Le restaurant est censé être ouvert jusqu’à 22h donc on devrait avoir le temps de savourer un repas. À notre arrivée, personne ne vient nous accueillir. Une serveuse passe à un mètre de nous. Elle marche lentement et s’efforce de regarder droit devant elle afin de ne pas croiser nos regards. Elle disparaît dans la cuisine, sans jamais nous adresser la parole. Quelques instants plus tard, une autre serveuse passe devant nous et esquisse un sourire forcé. Elle finit par venir nous voir et ne semble pas du tout apprécier notre arrivée. Zéro motivation, zéro sympathique, 100% air bête. Elle nous demande pourquoi on est là. On est dans un restaurant, tabarnak. Elle pensait qu’on venait juste pour chier dans sa toilette? Après nous avoir demandé si on avait une réservation, elle finit par nous dire que la cuisine est fermée. Le Et Caetera est un restaurant avec de faux airs distingués et un duo de serveuses mauvaises comme je n’en ai pas rencontrées depuis très longtemps. On est finalement allés au Mista, où tout le personnel était souriant et accueillant.

This restaurant is very noisy. I had some tasteless and pasty Doré, served with very little rit. My wife had lobster ravioli. The lobster filling is about 1 mm, surely apply with a brush and tasteless. I do not recommend this restaurant even if the service and cleanliness are there.

I love the atmosphere!!! In this restaurant, you'll feel like you're on vacation in another country with the view of Mont St-Hilaire, it's simply magnificent! The service is excellent and the food is sublime. I have several dishes that I love!!! We come often! The seafood linguine is delicious. Well done to the chef!!!

We have been going to this restaurant for several years...but I have never written a review. We have always eaten very well, the service is excellent and there is a good atmosphere. The owner is often on site and checks that everything is going well (when he is not in the kitchen...he is the real chef!!!). Over the years, the quality has never changed. We're going to keep going!!! book in advance, especially Thursday, Friday and Saturday, because sometimes there are no places left...
