We were staying ine night at the Riotel Bonaventure and opted for dinner at the hotel restaurant (Kano). We enjoyed the fish and chips and salmon tartar and service was fast and friendly. White wine was good and reasonably priced and our server Azalee did a good job serving the table. Handy spot, good food and reasonably priced wine for a stay in Bonaventure. As a bonus there was an Acadian festival across the street from our hotel and an interesting Acadian museum.
If you stay here, make sure you get a second floor room facing the ocean. Ours faced the street which rendered the balcony useless. Without the view we were left with a very small basic room. The bathroom was tiny with a pedestal sink and nowhere to put anything ! Not much of a beach but there is a walkway along the water which was very nice. We tried to eat at Cafe Acadian down the road, but hadn’t realized we needed a reservation. (On a Wednesday night!!). We then had to eat...read full review

We were received by the friendliest person at reception. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome. The room was lovely, well-decorated, and spacious. The view from the balcony was fantastic and we loved the view and the deck experience. The only downfall was the folks smoking beside us outside and it all blowing our way. The restaurant was fantastic, both food and service. Excellent and delicious. Would definitely stay here once again.
