I got married in Montreal last year and my brother (who’s even more into coffee than I am) asked where I get my coffee from. He made a stop on his way out of town just to stock up on Balance coffee. I was wet outside, feeling grey inside and decided to treat myself to a pick-me-up cup of coffee. Best decision of the day.The place was very welcoming and cheerful. Clean. Bright. A happy place.Lots of varieties to choose from, if you are taking your beans home with you.I needed one asap... and it was simply superb in both flavor and in texture.The staff was lovely and the owner was more than happy to share his values on fair-trade and his organic beans.This is a place of passion and pride. “One of the absolute best coffee shops in the city! The latte is incredibly out of this world and worth every penny! Every pastry I've tried has been tasty and delicious. I love sitting here but the only downside is, it's slightly small so there are chances you show up and have no room to sit. Its a very popular spot, highly recommend!“
“An awesome find while driving slowly on St. Patrick Street on a crazy rainy day. Despite arriving less than 10 minutes before closing, the barista was very helpful and served up a great café latte. The cookies were extremely good and there are many choices of coffee beans to buy from local cafés who roast here. All in all, a very good café to frequent in the future!“
“Got some beanz, I’ve heard that they’re the best haven’t tried them honestly because it’s a gift. I tried the matcha latte didn’t like it but it’s because i generally don’t enjoy matcha so not their fault. The baristas tho let me tell you about the amazing baristas that put up with my coffee ignorant a** and kept explaining the differences to help me choose beans. THANK YOU!“
