“pas de grande diversité côté nourriture. nous y sommes allés hier pour mon anniversaire et le dj qui était responsable de la soirée a fait vider la place à 23h45. même beat toute la soirée, gros techno qui ne permet pas tant de danser, toujours le même beat. Nous sommes partis vers 12h10, il n'y avait plus personne. je suis assez déçue 😭 surtout que nous avions acheter un pichet pour le restant de la soirée et que nous n'avons même pas pu le finir, nous n'avions plus envie d'être là. par contre le décor et le staff étaient merveilleux.“

“The vibes in this bar are *gorgeous*—super aesthetic in a way you genuinely wouldn’t expect from the exterior. I came for a friend’s birthday and it was such a fun spot for a night out.

Cocktail prices are pretty much in line with every other downtown Montreal bar, so you’re not really coming here for a “deal,” but the drinks were **really yummy** and well made.

Food-wise: we ordered the **party platter** and I honestly wouldn’t recommend it. It’s marketed as a mix of smaller appetizers in one platter, but it felt like only 2–3 actual items from the menu, with **a huge portion of the platter being crudités**—and it was **$74**. That said, the sauces/dips that came with it were amazing, especially the **chimichurri**.

The mains helped recover the experience a bit. I had the **burger**—it was a good portion if you want something heavier, but mine was a little dry and kind of cold. Not bad, just not extraordinary. The **fries**, though? Dangerous. Genuinely addictive—best “drunk bar fries” I’ve had in a while.

Service was another standout: the waitress and staff were super hands-on and attentive, which we really appreciated. Overall, the drinks and ambiance were the highlights for me, and I definitely wouldn’t be surprised if I ended up back here again.“

“The ambiance and food were great. However, being in the hotel industry and knowing how important and yet rare to get a great service, I was truly impressed with the service that I got at 409. It was wonderful. From the moment we arrived and were asked to take our jackets to the moment we left, everyone and I mean EVERYONE was so pleasant and attentive. We felt taken care of and had a wonderful meal. The batter on the fish was good but pretty much flavorless as was the dip. The smoked meat poutine was generous but could have done without fhe pickles or mustard. “The venue was great on a Friday night + the DJ was amazing, playing all of our favourite 80's dance music! My Chicken Caesar Wrap w/Sweet Potatoes was excellent. A lot more sweet potatoes than I was expecting too, which was good. Usually all you get is a small handful of sweet potatoes. This was worth the upcharge. However, my husband's cheeseburger was a little small, looked like a kid's burger. He said it was delicious though.“
