“I always like stopping at Lafleur. They have quick and efficient service, good honest hot dogs and fantastic, extraordinary and delicious fries!!! If you like it better, they also have ok burgers and even vegetarian propositions... But nothing beats their fries with vinegar, salt, cayenne and mayo...“

1- No way to call. The number on Google was never assigned and on delivery apps it is a personal phone which always goes to voicemail:

2- I don't understand why they get angry when we ask the delivery person to simply check certain details with the restaurant. We agree, this is NO SPECIAL REQUEST, other than simply to validate that we are served as announced in their menu. The food is good, but they advertise crispy fries and the first time we were served fries that were very soft at the base, not because they were softened by the sauce. Don't take customers for idiots! Also, the particularity of their restaurant is to serve smoked meat on soft bread instead of rye bread. I adore!! But the problem is that we are served rye bread!!! 🤷‍♂️

3- Their menu is very poorly displayed on delivery platforms. However, it would be so quick, easy and efficient to use the formats available to restaurants to make it a little more precise while eliminating frustrations and even problems. The many special requests that the restaurant does not accept. What they don't understand is that by having a poorly rendered menu on screen, customers cannot, for example, choose their drink when they have a trio. Oh no! However, they have a very varied choice, but in the drop-down menu, only “trio pout reg + beverage” is written. Great, okay, why not add the list of available drinks right after and let customers choose what they like?? Well no, we send you a drink to the head of the online customer, that is to say always a Coca Cola!!!!

And when we dare to ask the delivery person to simply ask for the choice of beverage or bread as advertised, they get angry!!!

The restaurant could just add a few small details to their insufficient and sometimes incomprehensible menu, and thus avoid their frustrations and those of the customers!

“This is as true as it gets if you are looking for a great pick for old school MTL Diner food that is less mainstream. Beautiful steamie and poutine with very dark gravy was served to me in a very reasonable amount of time. Service was fine. No idea how old this place is but it's definitely old. Wish them continued longevity.“

“While we've been staying in Montreal, we have gotten food from this place several times. First off, this place has a vintage cozy interior with booths that look out onto the busy street. Second, the staff here is friendly, quick, and very organized. Lastly, the food is authentic and well prepared. Our favorite thing here is an all dressed steamy and the classic poutine. We really like their gravy!“

“Found this place after moving in the neighborhood and I come here from time to time.Just taking a table next to the window makes me feel on those typical tv shows where you have your local dining with a very friendly environment.It is remarkable how all the staff makes everybody feel welcome as family, some people arriving are acquaintances, some others just usual customers. “Wow. Went for lunch here with my Boss. I always order a steamed hotdog from all the places I visit to see how the basics are. I can say that yes their hotdog is well worth the 2 dollars they sell for. The poutine I ordered was the du Chef. It was delicious. I can't wait for my next visit to try the other poutines. I recommend if you are near by or within 20 minutes away from here, it is well worth the trip. Be aware of their business hours though.“

“The food is always good but I don’t understand why when I pay by debit or credit they still round up my bill for taxes. This has happened last two time I have eaten there. Should only round up when paying cash. Check receipts everyone. “I stop here a lot and love the food. Sure, there are a lot of Belle Province Restaurants in Quebec, but will they make you a smoked meat poutine for breakfast? Probably not. These guys are the best group of people ever. Try the Sous Marin Speciale. Smoked meat poutine. Or ever steamed hot dogs my toppings of choice are mustard and onion with cayenne pepper. Washed down with a glass bottle of coke. The glass bottle just makes it that much better.“
