“We had lunch at this # Brasseurs location on St-Paul E. in Old Montreal on Thursday May 2, 2024. We choose this because we had a very good time at the other on on Rue de St-Denis on Tue 4/30/24. We had just completed a 2-1/2 hr walking tour that ended near here. So exploring is thirsty work & it was lunch time. Big brewpub with 2 levels. The upper level was hosting about 100 high school students on a field trip. We sat at the bar and were immediately acknowledged by the busy bartender, Marina. She brought menus & waters and took our drink orders. I had a spicy Bloody Maria ($6.75) & my bride had a white wine ($10). I had a loaded, juicy burger w/ frites ($20) and she had the chicken Caesar salad ($16). Well prepared, burger hot & salad cold-perfect. “On a fait une activité de groupe pendant 3 heures animée par Lou du Randolphe. Après 1 minute, il nous avait conquis. Drôle, répartie accoté, j ai eu un fun mort! Demandez Lou pour vos animations.“

Visiting Montreal and popped in there for a quick drink whist I was looking for a take away (and escaping the wife and kid left back in the hotel), it was a Sunday evening and there was a few others there having a drink, decent vibe, I sat at the bar, the bartender was chatty and we had a laugh, I left after 30 mins but will definitely return when I am back in town.“

“It's a nice local pub. The food is good, the beer is cold, the service is friendly. Trivia, open mic, live music and other events they have are usually great. The rooftop terrasse on a summer evening is unbeatable. It's not fancy, it's not perfect, but I always end up enjoying myself.“

Après avoir expliqué la situation au gérant Sam, il me propose des shooters gratuits en compensation, ce que j'accpate directement! Malgré cela, il me sort de l'établissement en prétextant la fermeture du bar. Aggressivement, et sur un ton très condescendant, il m'informe que le bar doit fermer à l'instant, et que je dois quitter sur le champ... Je n'ai jamais reçu ce qui m'était du, et offert!! Personnellement, le bar: "Le madame smith" est un bar où je ne retournerai plus jamais, tant le service que pour le respect du client! -1/10 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼“
