“J'ai demandé 3 fois mon reçu à la serveuse, après 3 factures éronnées, j'ai fini par payé 18$ pour un gin tonic simple! Après avoir expliqué la situation au gérant Sam, il me propose des shooters gratuits en compensation, ce que j'accpate directement! Malgré cela, il me sort de l'établissement en prétextant la fermeture du bar. Aggressivement, et sur un ton très condescendant, il m'informe que le bar doit fermer à l'instant, et que je dois quitter sur le champ... Je n'ai jamais reçu ce qui m'était du, et offert!! Personnellement, le bar: "Le madame smith" est un bar où je ne retournerai plus jamais, tant le service que pour le respect du client! -1/10 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼“

“The bartenders are some of the nicest people I’ve had the pleasure of interacting with, it’s got great prices, and the atmosphere’s just great altogether. After a long day of walking around the city, it’s nice to pop in for a cold pint. It’s cash only, but there’s an ATM right there for you to use, so it’s really not a big deal. I fully get why this place is so beloved.“

If you want something fancy, they can also get it from the upstairs cigar lounge. Sitting at the bar and playing the box for a round of shots is always a good time. The people who work here are some of the best bar staff in the city, also very knowledgeable about the city if you're visiting and wondering what to do next. Many an evening can start here and after experiencing some of the awesomeness Montreal has to offer, it can also end here for that final night cap before staggering to taxi and heading home.“

“We had lunch at this # Brasseurs location on St-Paul E. in Old Montreal on Thursday May 2, 2024. We choose this because we had a very good time at the other on on Rue de St-Denis on Tue 4/30/24. We had just completed a 2-1/2 hr walking tour that ended near here. So exploring is thirsty work & it was lunch time. Big brewpub with 2 levels. The upper level was hosting about 100 high school students on a field trip. We sat at the bar and were immediately acknowledged by the busy bartender, Marina. She brought menus & waters and took our drink orders. I had a spicy Bloody Maria ($6.75) & my bride had a white wine ($10). I had a loaded, juicy burger w/ frites ($20) and she had the chicken Caesar salad ($16). Well prepared, burger hot & salad cold-perfect. “It's a nice local pub. The food is good, the beer is cold, the service is friendly. Trivia, open mic, live music and other events they have are usually great. The rooftop terrasse on a summer evening is unbeatable. It's not fancy, it's not perfect, but I always end up enjoying myself.“
