I recently dined at L'Ancienne Banque on a Friday night after a friend's recommendation, and I couldn't be happier! We kicked off our meal with breaded cheese curds and onion rings—both were absolutely delicious. For the main course, we indulged in juicy chicken wings and a surprisingly good chicken club sandwich. Had an early dinner there the other day, our waiter was great very friendly and accommodating.The “chef” not so much, steak was overcooked and she told us it was medium rare when it went out lol. She wouldn’t serve mashed potatoes either, apparently she didn’t have any pots to use?!
I wanted to update our review of The Old Bank in Chapeau. Still our favorite place in the Ottawa Valley, by far. Mike and team go above and beyond to ensure a great dining experience. Amazing food, beverages and service. If there are any issues (rarer than chicken teeth), they are corrected quickly. Our cottage haunt!!
