Definitely would not recommend booking your event especially not your wedding here unless you want added stress!!

Avoid!! Very unprofessional & unpleasant owners/organizers. Check out Addie’s review. Wouldn’t want anyone else going through the same thing as wedding planning is stressful enough.

Avoid this venue. Unprofessional and and overpriced. Do not send a deposit. Owner does not care about meeting your personal needs just focused on getting her pay cheque.

Terrible Customer Service! Cancels on people and keeps their deposit. Can’t give clear answers and clarification! I do not recommend even trying to book with Margaret and Devina! Stay away!
Very unprofessional staff.
I do not recommend booking your wedding here as the communication between the current owner Devina and Event Coordinator Margaret is far from being on the same page. We were told we could have certain accommodations no problem, as others in the past have had these accommodations, which I tried to clarify with the owner before sending the deposit, but she again ignored that question. So, we went with what Margaret told us and signed the contract and sent our $1000 deposit over a year ago. Fast forward to 4 months until our big day, we had brought up the topic of certain accommodations to Devina and she replied with no, we do not allow that… well why wasn’t this discussed prior when we tried to bring it up again?!So they then came back with the offer of, “we will allow these accommodations only IF you spend $1550 + tax and rent out the house as well, but if not, we cannot offer you the other accommodations”…So we came to the conclusion that we needed to find a new venue, potentially. I brought this up with Margaret who said “you can get your deposit back if we are able to fill your spot” fair enough. But nope, that’s not what Devina said or wants to do.In fact, Devina said to Margaret directed at me “don’t let the door hit you on the way out, hun”. That I have proof of.Keep in mind, I had not yet cancelled yet, I wanted to discuss this further to see what our options were. So I emailed Devina asking if her and I could talk about this situation seeing as her and Margaret can’t seem to mutter the same line twice. And she replied with “we accept your cancellation”… well, I didn’t cancel yet? So, technically they owe me my deposit back if they’re cancelling on me, which I then replied to her with. And since then it’s been crickets.$1000 isn’t much to her as the farm is now again for sale for $1.5mil, but for brides trying to pay for a wedding in 2023, $1000 goes a long way. Also a previous bride from 2022 said her wedding day was extremely stressful as management was in the way, interrupting their day, and the cleanliness wasn’t up to par either with mouse droppings all over the table settings. People who lived in the main house came down and helped themselves to a plated dinner that they weren’t invited to? Yikes.Save yourself the stress and money and look elsewhere. We’re not only $1000 out (and waiting for it to be refunded), but we had to reorder wedding invitations, envelopes, stamps and cancel other vendors amounting to a total of $2000…Hopefully the next owner of Northfork can bring back the class and professionalism that the Flemings had when they owned it.
We rented this venue for our recent wedding in August. There were a number of issues mainly due to poor communication from ownership. We would be told one thing by the venue coordinator and then another thing entirely by the owner, Davina. One of the groundskeepers, a female, decided the appropriate time to come speak with the family of the bride was 10 minutes before the ceremony began, at which time she wanted to tell us only clear plastic garbage bags would be acceptable for cleanup...? The women then proceeded to hang around the ceremony, taking pictures without anyone's permission, making guests feel uncomfortable, and interrupting the bride and Father of the bride to chat before they walked down the aisle. The newlyweds rented the cabin for the wedding night as it was advertised as air conditioned, much needed in the 30 degree heat. To our dismay upon arrival there was no ac unit in sight, and all windows and blinds were opened. Outdoor lights from the cabin next door were left on until 5am with no blinds to block the light. It was extremely unpleasant and not at all worth the price charged. Save yourself the trouble and book a professional venue. This place is not what it used to be. I would not recommend Northfork.
We booked a room as we had a wedding to go to not far from the farm. When we arrived there was no one around to show us our accommodation, so i started knocking on doors and looking where i thought we were staying but all the accommodations had luggage in them. There was a wedding been held in the big barn and i had to go and ask people if they knew where we could find someone who knew where we were staying but they didn't know. I phoned the owner several times but it went to voice mail, eventually the people who live on site who were home but never answered their door came out and were unaware that we had booked to stay. The bride and groom were in our accommodation and they offered us a room with one bed plus a pull out couch as there was four of us, this accommodation was in the bushes and it had a out house which was unexceptable fir the $300 we paid. We were then offered to share the bride and grooms space which was ridiculous. They then offered us the space to change which we did, but as i was changing someone walked in and he was so embarrassed, it wasn't his fault as they had paid for that accommodation too. We got a full refund and the owner offered us a free night but unfortunately after that we declinced. I did ask as a good will gesture to give us a gas card for gas wasted but she hasn't responded. Very bad experience sadly.
Was here for a wedding, booked the rustic cabin the night before the wedding which was beautiful, no fire pit though. There ended up being some mice we couldn’t catch and the owners were nice enough to let us stay in the main house where we would be staying the second night. The house was beautiful, although the second bathroom is a toilet in main area upstairs surrounded by curtains. The day of the wedding we got notice that the main house had been double booked, we didn’t think much of it as we assumed the second party would unfortunately be turned away, since all of our parties had been moved in since the morning. When my husband went to change he ran into some strange woman changing. Management let the other party in to change and the washrooms in a space where all of our things had been left out, that was fully rented without warning. The other party was nice but management did not handle things well, saying this was shared accommodations which had never been said previously. I would not got back to this location. It was very pretty but certainly not worth the price.
This place is absolutely gorgeous! It is by far the most beautiful venue in the Ottawa valley. The barn has an amazing ambiance. The drinks were amazing and very reasonably priced. Everything about this place is absolutely amazing, except how far away it is. It is a long drive home after a great night of dancing.

Very nice and cozy place. The room is clean with chalet style decoration. The owner is very charming.
The owners are really nice you have to meet them.
Very lovely place
Breath taking! The flower gardens, the barn make for beautiful pictures. I stayed in the B&B part for a weekend in August. I can't wait to go back on Sept 26th for the the BRIDAL show.
Very nice people running it, and the home cooked meals they serve are just like grandma used to make.
