“Best combo plates you can get anywhere in Montreal!
There are better places for pitas around but in terms of a combo plate… The quantity, the quality and the freshness are 10/10. The rice has a great aroma, salads are fresh, the meats are seasoned to perfection and best of all….they aren’t cheap with the garlic sauce and hummus!!! They don’t give you those tiny cups and charge you.
I grew up around this place and used to go as a kid after playing outside all day. In recent years I went back to see if it was all just nostalgia…Nope!
Cherry on top, the owner who’s been there since I was a kid, remembered me from that long ago. As many comments have stated already, he’s a wonderful guy.

“Sarab has delish middle eastern food to individually take to go or to share with friends or family! It is nicely located beside Pharmaprix St Jean to pick up after your errands. I got the Shish Taouk Shawarma mixed plate where you can pick 2 salad choices. My friend ordered the wrap. Customer service was also very nice. Friendly staff and excellent service on getting our orders. Not too long of a wait and food was yummy. They offer vegetarian options of you're vegetarian. They also offer a family food combo which I'd like to try next time I go !! for west islanders, they used to be located at Fairview! Support local !!“

“Al-Amin Restaurant in Montreal is amazing, especially the food. The pizza is delicious, perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and very satisfying. The shawarma is excellent—fresh, juicy, well-seasoned, and made with high-quality ingredients. Everything is beautifully presented, served hot, and clearly prepared with care. You can really taste the quality in every bite. If you’re going for the food alone, Al-Amin definitely delivers and is 100% worth it.“

“I had an excellent experience at Amir Halal Restaurant. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming, clean, and well organized. The restaurant itself is spotless, the seating area is comfortable, and everything feels professionally managed. You can tell they take pride in their business.
The food quality is outstanding. Everything tasted fresh, well seasoned, and perfectly cooked. The portions are generous and the presentation is clean and appealing. The meat was tender and flavorful, the rice was cooked just right, and the sauces complemented the dishes perfectly without overpowering them. You can taste the quality and consistency in every bite. This is not average halal food. This is top tier.
What truly made the experience exceptional was Sondos at the cashier. She is amazing. Extremely friendly, professional, patient, and welcoming. She greets customers with a genuine smile and makes you feel valued, not rushed. Her positive energy sets the tone for the entire restaurant. Customer service like that is rare. She answered questions clearly, helped with recommendations, and handled everything smoothly and efficiently.
Great food is important, but great service makes people come back. Sondos represents the restaurant very well.
If you are looking for high quality halal food with excellent service, Amir Halal Restaurant is absolutely worth visiting. I will definitely be coming back and recommending it to others“

“Ordered take out on Saturday (for the Habs playoff game, no less) but had an issue with the order. Too late to go back but it didn't sit well so next day went to speak to the manager rather than just leaving a bad review. Manager wasn't there but the guys working were responsive and addressed the situation, saying that they wanted their customers to be satisfied. Thanks to the team at Amir on st charles.“

“I went to Boustan on Sunday afternoon and tried the chicken bowl — it was very tasty and enough for two people! I also tried the soup; it wasn’t my favorite, but I really appreciated the service. The food was served quickly, and the staff were very kind. The lady at the front was serving everything with a big smile and was so sweet, and the guy at the back gave a generous portion of meat. Overall, I’m really satisfied and highly appreciate this place!👍“

“Happy Friday indeed! My buddy and I walked in here and couldn't resist the custom Shwarmas! I had some Gatorade because I'm a G2, haha. The music in here is pretty authentic as well almost stirring up a jig. Definitely recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️#boustan #Moncton“
