The atmosphere was cozy. The food was just okay. I had the Spaghetti Bolognese and it was blend. The portion was small, I went home and had to eat more food to feel full. The tiramisu was really good though! It had perfect sweetness and texture. The service was attentive. But it was also a rainy day and we were the only people at the restaurant.
So there are not a lot of Italian options in this area, and this one is quaint. We were served quickly but I felt a bit rushed. Like we were not very welcome. We were also the only ones with paper napkins, everyone else had fabric napkins which I thought was odd. Everyone was very friendly, it just didn't seem genuine. Ever get that feeling? Great place in the entrance of Gatineau park. We were reluctant to go due to past reviews but food was great, good portions, service was on time and staff was very friendly. Extra points for allowing dogs in the outdoor tables!
