Visited from Toronto and had an amazing experience at Chelsea Pub in the heart of Old Chelsea. The patio is a total gem—spacious, relaxed, and perfect for enjoying the atmosphere of the area. The service was friendly and attentive throughout our visit, which made it even better.
The poutine was absolutely incredible easily some of the best I’ve had during all my trips to Quebec. Perfectly crisp fries, rich gravy, and cheese curds that actually squeak exactly what you’d hope for and more.
Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area. Great spot to kick back, grab a drink, and enjoy a true Quebecois classic done right.

Too expensive for what you get. Fries were not good, burger was too dry. Poutine very small for the price. We could smell the sewer system from the terrasse, which made the experience quite unpleasant. However, the waitress was very kind !

The kitchen made an error and gave French fries as a side instead of a salad. The server acknowledged the error and assured us she would bring the salad which never came. When we inquired about the salad, the server said it was too late. Also the Reuben sandwich had next to no sauerkraut and the meat and cheese were very sparse. The fries were the only redeeming element I am from our of town but would not go out of my way to go back.

The fish crust or batter was oh so thick...unsure if that's their unique style of making fish 'n chips???...albeit the haddock filet tasted fresh.
Horrible fries that shouldn't be served; I can honestly say these were the worst fries I have ever had in a restaurant. They were over-fried and you could only taste potatoes in only a few of all the fries that were served; the majority just tasted hard crunchy fried dough with a hollow inside...where are the potatoes!?!?
Completely packed on the side with regular tables and chairs. With the ceiling so low, the place could use a ceiling fan or two for sure to create a more pleasant and cooler space. Decor is nice but the low ceiling traps heat and noise making it difficult to relax.
The waiter never came to ask/check if the food was alright.
Big disappointment for sure! The only good thing out of this dining experience was the company, my dining partner.

I wish I loved this place but no. I think we just go there because there are very few other options in the area. There are never enough waiters/waitresses, so the service is always very slow. And this, both for the bar and for the food. We were a group with a reservation and it looked like it was the end of the world. Half of us weren't even able to get a glass of water. When I was told 45-1 hour for minimum food I preferred to go there for just a beer and I was one of those who hadn't had any water... Super practical. And the menu is mediocre, no elaboration, nothing surprising, no changes. It seems to me that pub food has evolved so much in the last 10 years that it might be cool to see a new revamped menu. IMHO.

We stopped by the Chelsea Pub on a Friday evening. Great place if you don't mind a noisy and crowded atmosphere but it was a bit too intense for us as we couldn't even hear ourselves talk. The waitress was very nice but obviously needed help as she seemed to be alone serving a full downstairs - the upstairs was closed for a private event. Prices are a bit high for the menu offerings. There is a large beer menu for those who enjoy that. The tables are close together and an upgrade in chairs to be more comfortable wouldn't hurt. Overall, we likely won't be going back.

Stopped in for lunch with a group of 12. I had the traditional poutine. The fries were great, loads of curds and tasty rich gravy. The only issue was that the gravy wasn't hot enough to melt any of the curds. It was the same for all who ordered the poutine. Very disappointing. $10 blonde beer was also not reasonable. (Standard glass, not large)
