Chelsea Pub is a gem just outside Ottawa! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, the food is fresh and full of flavor, and the local beers on tap are excellent. Perfect spot for a relaxed meal with friends or family.

Food was very tasty. However it took close to a hour to get our food which was disappointing. Also was quite expensive.

Sadly I feel as though the service and quality of food has gone downhill. Our most recent visit was most disappointing. I ordered a Nicoise Salad, and although 32$, it included the smallest bed of arugula, no chance of calling it a salad, it had a single baby potato cut in half, one overcooked boiled egg cut in half, five string beans, 2 cherry tomatoes cut in half, and 4 or 5 small pieces of seared tuna, about 25% of the plate were olives, and the whole thing was drenched in dressing. It looked more like an appetizer plate than a salad. Which would have been lovely, but not for 32$ and especially because I was left super hungry. I gave the honest feedback (without being rude) and the manager offered me a small side salad. Recommendation, stick to the pub staples.

We recently photographed a wedding at Chelsea Pub and were so impressed by the staff—especially Aurelie. Everyone was attentive, helpful, and welcoming to both guests and vendors, which made our job run smoothly. They happily worked with all of our requests, whether this was regarding our meal, supplying items for photos, or generally answering our questions. We’d be happy to photograph another wedding here in the future and would recommend them to couples looking for a wedding venue. Great job, Chelsea team!

To Whom It May Concern,

My wife and I had lunch at the Chelsea Pub today and were unfortunately very disappointed with our experience.

A few minutes after ordering, my wife decided she would prefer a different lunch option and asked our server if it would be possible to change her order. The server checked with the kitchen and returned to inform us that our lunch was almost ready and it was too late to make any changes. We were surprised by this, especially as our meal was then served approximately 25 minutes after we had initially requested the change.

At the end of our meal, when asked if everything was satisfactory, my wife expressed her disappointment, explaining that she did not receive the meal she truly wanted. The server insisted it was not her fault and stated that if I wanted, I could order the plate my wife desired. This offer came at the very end of our meal, not when the change was initially requested.

Furthermore, our server did not return to our table during our meal to check if we needed drink refills or anything else.

We are very disappointed with the service we received and would not recommend the Chelsea Pub. We feel that the establishment may be too busy and has lost touch with its clientele.

Decided to go out for dinner at Chelsea pub. Didn’t use the right door to enter the building and the hostess/waitress thought she would school us like children on how it should be done and not in a nice way. She was rude so we left and went to the Manchester pub where we were received with respect. Service was great, food was great. Chelsea pub might think of educating the staff on how guest should be received. Oh by the way I ended up spending close to $200 at the Manchester pub.

I would not recommend this restaurant for an event, especially if you have any food intolerances/allergies. We had our wedding reception upstairs, and honestly it was a terrible experience. We communicated so clearly that we needed a good selection of GF food, as a bride and half of the party have celiac disease. There was almost nothing provided, despite the steep costs. Either a mini slider or a cold slimy mushroom was all I was able to eat. The service sucked, they kept skipping certain people when they were taking requests, then wouldn’t come back so some people wouldn’t get a chance to eat unless other people shared the food they managed to get…they refused to serve any desserts, or even cut the wedding cake for us when we asked, they had us walk over and serve our guests ourselves, again despite steep costs. We were polite and friendly but got weird treatment regardless. Maybe they just weren’t a fan of the fact that we were two women getting married? Not sure why else they treated us so poorly on such an important day. When we reached out after to discuss the disappointment, they weren’t even apologetic, and did nothing to try and make up for the experience. It put a huge damper on our wedding day, so much so that 11 months later we are still thinking about it. Haven’t been back since, obviously, and would never recommend this place to anyone.
