Came here for a later lunch on a Saturday, wasn’t busy and we were seen by our server right away. The place is small and tables are tightly squeezed together, not great for the ambiance. We ordered the classic breakfast and the salmon avocado toast. For the classic breakfast, the potatoes were dry, not fresh, and obviously reheated. The rest of the classic was okay but for the price I would prefer to have something cooked fresh…not the morning’s leftovers. The salmon was good, avocados were overripe and dark. For a meal that cost about $80 with tip, it was incredibly disappointing.

I used to come to La Tonique often, this time everything was different, egg benedict was not as good, and over priced. We asked the server to sit in upstairs and she said no because it was easier for her that we sit in the first floor! Ambience was nit as good as before.

Waited over 1h for our food… the place was not busy. Food was decent. Our cups for our drinks came dirty with dust and hairs. When I told our server, she didn’t even apologize, nor gave a discount for it. She kept making comments to us, and giving us looks. We felt very uncomfortable…

Worst breakfast ever, croquet Madame had a barely cooked egg on top and was greasy, eggs Benedict were served cold and had to be reheated and had a floury taste, scrambled eggs were flat like a pancake. Coffee was watery. Not even tasty, won't go back. Over priced for the value.

Tonique in Chelsea is a cozy, welcoming spot that instantly makes you feel at ease. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, with friendly staff and a charming interior that invites you to slow down and enjoy the moment. Whether you're stopping by after a hike or meeting friends for a leisurely brunch, it’s the kind of place that feels both familiar and special.

The outdoor seating is a true highlight. Surrounded by greenery and tucked into the heart of the village, the patio offers a peaceful escape where you can sip your coffee and soak up the fresh air. Tonique blends comfort, charm, and a touch of nature, making it a go-to destination for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy Chelsea’s laid-back vibe.

The atmosphere is always nice as the location is good. I have known the restaurant for years living in the area. The breakfast was really disappointing. The potatoes were raw, the latte watery and no service. When I mentioned the raw potatoes, the waitress said they hadn’t received any other complaints, thanked us and moved on. Two other tables then waved and raised the same issue. We left. Too bad, would be a great addition to Biscotti and Le Palmiers, but not on par by far.

Our breakfast/brunch was ok, not wow, just average. The atmosphere is inviting and attracts people to the spot. The service however is extremely slow. You Will wait to be served, you will wait for water, you will wait for your drinks, then you will wait for someone to take your order, you will again for your food and you will wait for bill. We were too tired of the long wait, so we ended up going inside to pay so we could leave. No apologies provided at any time. Will likely not return.

Had the eggs royale and a mixed juice. Staff was super friendly and nice. Food was very good. Love all the flowers around the place. So if you driving through Chelsea 9-14 easy to stop by with own parking.
