We asked what their recommendations are and were told their lox dishes are what they are known for, but also their Mediterranean toast is really good. And so we proceeded to order their recommendations, plus a mimosa and an iced espresso drink. And I'm so glad we did! The Mediterranean toast was an explosion of texture and flavours with their avocado spread, goat cheese, greens, chickpeas, radish and more! The smoked salmon toast with a poached egg was also delish, although the egg was a bit overcooked. The mimosa was made with freshly squeezed orange juice (at least I think it is). The interior is cute, very tropical with trees inside. I give Pigeon Cafe a thumbs up and it will be on rotation when in Montreal!
The presentation and atmosphere of the cafe were great, but the taste wasn't quite up to par, so I couldn't finish everything. I was a bit disappointed.
Really poor service and food quality was not worth the price. Decor is very nice. Our server did not check on us at all and had to flag someone over every time we needed something and had to get up to ask for the bill. Would not recommend
Even with a reservation, we were ignored at the door for a while. The place was not crowded but it took a very long time to get someone to take our order, for the food to come and then to get the bill. When the food finally came, it was incomplete and missing ingredients. Not worth the price.
We were there for brunch and had dadddys scrambled eggs it was yum . We also shared the avocado toast with a poached egg . It was good but the scrambled were better. Great service ❤️
The two female servers working on Saturday morning did not appear to be interested. Our food was called, told them about it, they did nothing, and still proceeded to charge for the meal. Do not recommend
Mother's dat reservation booked the night before at 8pm. Our 1:15pm reservation was waiting for us when we arrived, greeted with a smile! Hostess was amazing and helped us with our order. Service was top notch and the food was fresh, hot and savory. The complementary fruit dish for mother's day was a nice and thoughtful touch. Coffee ☕️... well, let's just say it lived up to its name. This was our 2nd visit at this establishment and it didn't disappoint. See you next time!
The service was outstanding. Several of us added chicken to our meals... wish we hadn't! Chicken was extremely dry and tough. Plate of grilled vegetables was cold... so much so that grilled halloumi had hardened.
This cafe is a hot spot for McGill university students. It is always busy. You need a reservation to go there. The atmosphere is very energetic with loud music. We went there for a Sunday brunch. All food is very well prepared. The best one is their French Toast Casserole. The omelettes and and smoothes are great too. A number of freshly baked cakes and cheesecakes are worth trying. The staff is 5 star, friendly, fast, pleasant. We highly recommend this cafe for lunches.
The coffee which was why I booked was not good, pigeon coffee was supposed to be a third wave coffee shop but it's not... and the food was basic...my tomatoes were from a can which I don't mind but at least it should be cooked.

First time visiting Montréal and this restaurant. I loved how accommodating the staff were when they didn't have the drink i requested but still attempted to make something close to it and it was also tasty! That is what I call great customer service. The food came hot and ready. I surely devoured every bit! Thank you again and I cannot wait to come back! ?
Worst customer service I've ever experienced in Mtl. They select they patrons they want to attend to. I was sitting at the bar and it took them over 35 mins to ask me what I wanted (mind you there was only 1 other person sitting at the bar and she was eating already), they were just chatting, laughing and being on their phones. I saw many people coming in to get seated and they were picking who they wanted to be kind to
We love to go to Pigeon Cafe especially in Monkland. The new one in McGill we love everything except that our food took almost an hour to be served and it was not a hot meal anymore when I was served to us. The 2 staff members were so nice and accommodating. Coming back for sure but just disappointed with our food.
Unfortunately, cannot recommend Pigeon café McGill. Took forever to get our order. Our poor friend got his plate almost at the end of our meal. His eggs were cold and his bagels barely toasted even though he specifically requested extra-toasted! Waitress was sweet and apologetic but clearly overwhelmed. Too bad...
