It always cheers up my mode. Service can be improved. Staff does not come across warm or friendly.
Wow , delicious.
Can't say more,
This place rocks
I bought an almond croissant. Literally, the worst almond croissant I have ever had. In fact, it was not a croissant, it was a moist cake. Too soft and the underneath was completely wet.
Not so clean, freshness is doubtful especially for cakes
May 2025- Première Moisson- Marché de l’Ouest.
At the ‘Marché de l’Ouest, in the West Island of Montreal, there are two bakeries. One is ''Boulangerie du Marché de l’Ouest '' et the second is refered on line as 'Boulangerie du Marché de l’ouest- Première Moisson '– I know – a bit confusing, Indeed.
The first one,' Boulangerie du Marché de l’Ouest' , the shop closest to the main entrance is excellent. Unfortunately, they have no web site. Fortunately, the pie was very good. Good point for this bakery.
This review is about the second one: 'Boulangerie du Marché de l’Ouest- Première Moisson' - They are accessible online or by phone. The problem is that you order a pie for 8 (eight) persons- At pick-up, you get a pie for 4 (four) persons at the price of a pie for 6 (six) persons. Do the math and see who is who wins: neither the customer nor the 8 guests waiting for this pie.
Waited in line for 10 min to be told, sorry no croissants are left as one person apparently took everything for a conference
Very disappointed and waste of time, they should better manage inventory and maybe not sell everything to one client , waitress behind the counter seemed not to really care about nothing having any type of croissant
I like the first harvest bakeries, they have several good products like their croissants, their chocolatines, in some there are good tomato pizzas, a good variety of breads like the one with autumn flavors that I took this this time, etc. Their pastries are correct, I tasted the opera, the royal and strawberry and pistachios. On the other hand, this is the first time I have gone to a first harvest and my bread is not fresh and very dry. Therefore, I give it 3 stars.

Pastries are what you expect from premiere moisson, better than a grocery store, worse than an independent boulangerie. But the coffee was brutal. Someone needs to get on the espresso machine and train your staff again. The milk in a latte/cappuccino should not be hot enough to scald the tongue. And the coffee itself was awfully bitter. It's like no one calibrated the grinder or espresso machine.

I had given up on most of these shops because over the years, the quality of their products had in my opinion gone downhill. Fast track to the present and because a friend told me that this location actually had better bread for some reason, I tried again. Well, after trying three breads, I'm in agreement that this location for some reason does have better bread. How bizarre. Anyhow, for now, I'm very pleased. The service was also excellent.

I arrived early on a Saturday at Premiere Moisson in Marché de l'Ouest and picked up a selection of breakfast pastries. Every single one was absolutely fantastic! The apricot twist was sublime – perfectly sweet and buttery. The chocolate and almond croissants were crispy on the outside and deliciously soft on the inside, while the Quebec pomme pastry was a delightful mix of tart and sweet. The quality here is consistently top-notch. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a perfect breakfast treat!

Disaster service. I wanted to order a tart. Wait for 10min in front of cake fridge and no one look at me. Then I asked a guy who wore a glasses that is he going to give me service and he said give me a min! and I was waiting for 10 more min. In the end, I decided to not buy tart that day.
Just want to let you know that they were not in short stuff and 5 people were there.
Never ever go to this boulangerie again!

Exhorbitant prices.
I go there regularly because the GF insists, but every single time I'm facing staff that see you but act as if they didn't hoping you leave. 100% of the 5 last times I went, I had to wait minimum 7 minutes before being acknowledged, most of the time because ei asked if they were opened.
