Was the best and it’s still the best.
Ordered lunch from them today. It was my first time trying their food and all I can say is wow! It was amazing! We ordered the butter chicken combo plate and the lamb curry combo plate. Both combos came with rice, excellent roast potatoes with a delicious red sauce on it, a cold crisp salad and the fluffiest naan bread ever. The chicken was very tender as was the lamb. Ordered for the first time this evening after hearing rave reviews. Hands down the best Indian I have ever had delivered.

Dawat offers amazing food, incredible ambiance, and excellent service. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere, and the staff is very friendly, greeting guests with big smiles. The food is exceptional, always freshly made, with a wide range of vegetarian options and accommodations for dietary restrictions. The portions are generous, and the overall experience is simply wonderful. The Punjabi dishes are rich in flavor, with perfectly balanced spices and authentic taste, just like home-cooked meals. Every dish tasted fresh and homely, making it a great stop whether traveling towards Montreal or returning to Toronto. Dawat was also very kid-friendly, providing a respectful environment for families. Although it is currently takeout only, many customers would gladly make a detour just to enjoy favorites like Fish Pakoras, veg pakoras, tandoori chicken, and fresh Lassi. Sadly, Dawat has burnt down and is now closed, leaving behind cherished memories of its delicious food.
