Escondite West Island

This is our date night restaurant. My husband and I have eaten there many times. The food is amazing, the service is fast, the music is good but not too loud. It’s pricey but worth it.

The atmosphere, service and food are superb. Where it falls short is on portion size to price ratio. If they charged 2-3$ but got 3 tacos per plate instead of two, it would probably make a difference. Kids portion is not sufficient beyond 8 years old. It is the best Mexican restaurant in the area but value needs to be addressed.

From greeting to finishing up, the service was amicable and wonderful. The people seem just as happy as the party celebrating! The timing of each serving was perfect! The food was delicious. The only thing I and a friend of mine didn’t like was the fish taco but EVERYTHING else was great!! The drinks ohhh wow fantastic everyone seemed enjoy them! Will definitely be back!

So disappointing. Food tasted stale. Everything looked like it had been reheated. Horrible experience

We we're so excited to order Escondite for Valentines Day and have it delivered to our house via Uber Eats. We made sure to order it earlier in the day to guarantee we get the time we wanted for when after our toddler went to bed (8:15). Unfortunately by the time we looked at our Uber Eats to see when the delivery time would be arriving, it said that the order / delivery was cancelled at 7:45 because of "Technical Issues". COME ON We have always loved the food from Escondite, but will cease ordering from their anymore as the Valentines Day dinner we were looking forward was cancelled at such short notice, and our evening ruined. Why even offer the ability to order online if you do that?... and why not offer an alternative for the people that ordered knowing you likely ruined there evening.. Terrible experience

Really very very disappointed.
Good food but I have to say the service was terrible. However, I had written when making my reservation that it was a staff party and to the waitress that we really wanted to “SPOIL OUR STAFF” but it was impossible to order 1 beer in less than an hour. NO ONE FOR US but not for the pretty ladies next to us. At midnight the owner kindly kicked us out despite our $900 bill and we were really nice and respectful. It's inconceivable, if we can't have a staff party for our Mexican employees at your restaurant, you simply had to contact me before the evening.

Great experience at this restaurant. The menu is tapas to share. Everything was delicious. The cornbread is soft and a little spicy with a jalapeño. The ceviche is tasty, more tomato based, a little sweet. The guacamole is good with a touch of lime. The steak tacos were quite spicy but it wasn't burning. The orange crush sauce gives it a kick. The mole tacos were also good. Good service and a very good meal.
