A place to fill the tummy with yummy presentation and homemade goodness. Each dish is carefully paired with multiple ingredients to create colours and textures for the taste buds. Portion is big and shareable. Seating is spacious and comfortable. Located in a big plaza with lots of parking and some dessert options for after the meal.

We went to Kalapaw for lunch. We were one of the first ones there so we didn’t have to wait. The food was absolutely delicious, a true taste of Filipino cuisine. The spaghetti is a must-have, to get a taste of sweet-style Filipino spaghetti. We ordered the kamayan for 2 but it was enough to satisfy 3 adults. We ordered leche flan for dessert and it did not disappoint. Definitely recommend Kalapaw for authentic Filipino cuisine!

Was excited to try the food,
Tried to call in for a pickup order 30 min before closing. My call was answered and hung up 3 times in a row. On the 4th attempt sent straight to voicemail that is not yet set up.
Im giving a 1 star for poor customer service.

Kalapaw is a great spot for delicious Filipino comfort food. The sinigang is perfectly sour, the crispy pata is crunchy and flavorful, and the kare-kare is rich and satisfying. Their halo-halo is a must-try for dessert — sweet, colorful, and refreshing.
The staff is friendly and the place feels warm and homey, with a touch of Filipino decor and music. Perfect for family meals or catching up with friends.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kalapaw Filipino Cuisine in the West Island of Montreal, and I have to say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish.
I ordered the Chicken Adobo with rice, and it was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich and authentic, with the perfect balance of savory, tangy, and slightly sweet – just how adobo should be. The chicken was tender and well-marinated, and the portion size was generous.
For dessert, I tried one of their Filipino sweets (I won’t spoil it for you!), and it was simply amazing – the perfect way to end the meal. Sweet, comforting, and full of nostalgic flavor.
The service was another highlight: fast, professional, and very courteous. I felt welcomed the moment I walked in. The staff clearly takes pride in what they do.
The ambiance is warm, friendly, and relaxed. Whether you’re new to Filipino cuisine or looking for a taste of home, Kalapaw provides a comfortable space to enjoy a great meal.
Highly recommend for anyone craving quality Filipino food in the West Island. I’ll definitely be back!

Been here multiple times and have never been disappointed. If you’re looking for a family friendly restaurant with authentic filipino dishes, look no further. The thirty minute drive is always worth it

We waited more than 30mins for our food. The food was really bad, almost all of the dishes are crazy salty we had to chug jugs of water 😭 Service was mid, the servers are constantly busy cleaning up tables

I don’t typically write negative reviews, especially since I had such a wonderful experience during my first visit, and being Ilocano, this place holds a special place in my heart. However, we did not receive the customer service that we expected. In fact, we had a bad service.
First off, upon arrival, we were not greeted with a smile or even offered a menu, thats something that should be standard. The first thing you expect when walking into a restaurant aside from water is a menu, yet we werent given one right away. Additionally, we arrived around 7pm, but were immediately informed that the restaurant was closing at 8pm. We understood their hours, but we weren’t served until 7:30pm. The pressure to eat quickly made the dining experience bad, and we ended up opting for a takeout box for the leftovers we couldn't finish in that short amount of time. Lastly, I asked if we could be moved to a table at the back, which was empty. I was told that it was only for six people. It wasn’t even busy and they were closing soon. As we expected, that table remained empty the entire time we were there.
Im only giving 1 star for the food and the portion. It still tasted delicious like the first time. Another 1 star for the cleanliness. But one thing I would suggest to the management is that they should improve their customer service. With such great food, I think the experience could be far better if the service matched.
Am I coming back? I am hesitant...

There has already been words circulating about this place, and finally I can say it deserves a visit. The ambiance is above expectations; the service is very good; the foods are prepared as you order them; the price at par with other restaurants; the location is very good. Be very careful when you have dietary restrictions, be sure to ask. I strongly recommend this place.

We ate there recently and, unfortunately, found a clump of hair in the bulalo soup. While the food itself was tasty, the experience was disappointing. I hope they can improve their cleanliness and food handling.
Delicious authentic Filipino food! A must try! I recommend doing a reservation during peak hours and weekends!😋
The food is good (taste) and it’s also not expensive. Unfortunately it seems that we went on a very busy day or there were missing employees because the service was not good, they were having a hard time with the orders. I read other reviews before making the reservation and also thought it was a quiet place but that was not our experience.
