Maiko is my favourite sushi restaurant of any I’ve ever been to…anywhere, and my family has been at least 20 times. The atmosphere is lovely and service is good, but the star is the consistent aesthetics of the dishes; the fresh, quality ingredients, the level of skill in the kitchen, and, best of all, it is clear the it is all a labour of love from chef-owner Maiko (who also grows many of her ingredients, and, in the off season, hand picks everything at the Jean Talon Marche)....read full review

Maiko Sushi in the west island is a favorite spot for fresh and unique sushi dishes. The restaurant's fabulous interior makes it perfect for a fancy night out. Their Khaki-Aghe and popcorn roll are must-tries, bursting with different flavors. The fried banana dessert left a lasting impression. While a bit pricey, the beautifully served sushi is worth it, especially for special occasions. The cozy ambiance is ideal for dates or business meetings. However, booking in advance can be tricky, and the menu without photos might confuse some customers. Overall, a pleasant dining experience with friendly and attentive service, though it can get crowded. The fish is incredibly fresh, and the presentation is beautiful, making it highly recommended for sushi lovers. The restaurant offers high chairs for kids, making it a family-friendly option. Some tables are in small corners that can be crowded, so it’s good to ask for a better spot when reserving. Many enjoy the Jardin de Maiko, toro mousse, orchidée, and all the rolls, finishing with Perles de Maiko.
