The food is nice, authentic, lamb stew is well tender. With every plate around $20. Although as referred by friends, I was expecting a little less expensive. But what can I say about inflation nowadays.
The owner looks like a sincere person.
Might visit again.

If I am in great physical shape today despite my voracious appetite, it is entirely thanks to the discipline instilled in me by my father. My father is an inveterate athlete. His way of dealing with me has always been and continues to be:

“Are we going to play sports? »

Today's menu for August 27: a tennis ball-pickleball session.

However, this time exceptionally, he followed up the proposal with:
“After that, we’ll go eat.”

Awesome ! But, there is a “but”… he is quite capable of embarrassing me, the father. And, this time, out of excess pride:

“Come on, say a few words [to the owner] in Farsi.”

I wanted to walk out the door. I hate putting on a show, whether I know the language or not.

Apart from this little hiccup, the dinner went wonderfully. Entering the room where soft Middle Eastern music was playing, I felt a little fear when I greeted the owner, who held and then looked away without returning the favor, but I was reassured when I I encountered the kindness of the owner's smile. She is always happy to welcome customers after more than 14 years in this small business in this shopping center on the edge of the pitiful-looking Boulevard des Sources (hard to believe that architects designed THAT).

Subsequently, both my father and I were delighted by the starters of “mantoo” ravioli (tender, tasty, with ground beef and topped with a fine spice sauce) and those called “ashak” with leek, elegantly presented in helices, once again with an interesting play of spices and very spicy! My father's stomach having already reached its saturation threshold, he enjoyed less of the "kabuli palow", four pieces of lamb (medium size) covered with a layer of rice with an oily texture. Not unpleasant at all, my goodness!

The quality of the food contributed to the general good mood and this rare moment of face-to-face interaction. If I am the type to enjoy dishes without saying a word, my father seems to believe that entering into a relationship requires the use of words. If Jesus spoke in parables, he speaks in anecdotes. This thing happened to him when he was younger. A famous person asked him for such a matter. He saw this video and he thought this thing. I listen and I listen, I joke, we laugh, we have fun. Everything is fine, except for his headache and his upset stomach (both before the meal).

I finish with dessert, a simple, but no less good, rice pudding. I finish, we talk a little, we go to the checkout, my father embarrasses me, we go out, but not without saying “goodbye”. Because, yes, I could come back. It was a very nice experience with generous portions, at $25-30 per person.

Vegetarian options: Yes, vegetarians have no shortage of choices.

Parking: Large enough parking lot for the shopping center.

Kid-friendliness: I didn't see a children's high chair, but the place can accommodate families for a cordial meal.

Wheelchair accessibility: It would take a little help to open and get through both doors.

I went here for a retirement dinner with a large group of people. The service was exceptional and the food was even better. We ordered multiple appetizers to share amongst the table and not only were they beautifully presented but they tasted amazing. Everyone agreed and the main meals were also fantastic. The food was extremely fresh and it seems to be a husband and wife run for restaurant. It's also bring your own wine. I will be by again!

My husband invited me to this restaurant through a good acquaintance of his.
While searching it on Google I saw some nice comments. And what I saw confirmed my position.
The welcome was very warm and the lady in charge was great, although the decoration and atmosphere weren't really what we were looking for. I suggest revisiting just a little bit.
Otherwise the rest is great.
Good price and delicious.

I recommend Mantoo and also the soup, the mixed dish which is a specialty of the chef. I enjoyed an excellent hot sauce.
I had never eaten Afghan food before and this beautiful feeling will remain forever.

I will definitely go back there.
I recommend it.

We've been regulars at Aryana for over 6 years, and it has consistently been a wonderful dining experience. The food tastes great and is reasonably priced, making it a fantastic choice for anyone who loves quality cuisine.

The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming, making you feel as though you're visiting their home rather than a restaurant. This warm and friendly atmosphere, combined with the consistently tasty and high-quality food, keeps us coming back time and time again.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for delicious Afghan food and a hospitable dining experience!
