Food is not that great as it used to be, service is a big ZERO, the staff are so rude, and the noise... oh my god
NEVER AGAIN, it is no longer an experience, just food on the table, for what it is, it is not worth any STARS

Let me preface this by saying that while I'm not allergic to fish, I get severe indigestion from it.

Having ordered the general tao chicken, it was rather surprising to have a distinct fish taste and odd texture compared to the other pieces I've had. Wasn't long before someone else from our group noticed a piece of white fish amongst the general tao chicken. We brought it up to our waiter who told us it was an impossibility yet 2 of us had pieces of fish.

So I paid 60$ for a supper that will end up very shortly in the toilet.

Also to note that the waiter having done a mistake on bills from our party told us to sort it amongst ourselves instead of correcting them.

Please be careful of you have allergies or sensitive to certain foods! Food was ok, but an issue arose that there were pieces of fish in the General Tao, which my friend didn't react well to. The waiter argued that it was impossible there was fish in there, even though 2 of our group found battered fish in the same dish.

We waited one hour to get our soup! Entrees arrived another 30 min later. Not at all well organized on this new Year's eve even though reservations were made ahead. Portions were small for the group, we got 4 shrimps for 5 people. Price excessively high for the wait. Kids were starving and they didn't offer anything to help them wait. Some people arrived after us and were served before. Will not go back there!

New Years Eve... Understandably service will be slow. Not enough staff... 2 hour time limit.... been here 1 and a half hours and still not served our main course... They better not come and tell us to exit before we are done. Not our fault.

I used to love this restaurant in the 90’s
The quality is no longer as good as it was once up in a time. Frozen instead of fresh. Watered down soups and over priced. I won’t go back. Very disappointing

As I await with my buddy in anticipation of the greatest shrimp toast to get dropped graciously on the table by our authentic waiter Bob. “Hello sire, we meet again” - I said to the piece of Shrimp Toast gingerly, before devouring it and bathing the next piece in its red fruité sauce. The sesame crunch, coupled with the intently mashed and freshly served shrimp pâté filling, supported by a buttery crispy base… I drool… *beat* My eyes roll back in pure delight. Bob asks us if we want anything else besides the Fortune Cookies and I respond: “Yeah, the recipe and a box to go please” Bob nods.

When we arrived the receptionist didn't even say hello or give me a moment; it took sometime for someone else to assist us.
BUT the urinals in the men's restroom smell bad, and one was FILTHY.
They better do something about that in order to loop successfully the experience.

First time there after all these years. I ordered take out, but the place looked really nice. A bit expensive, but food quality is worth it. What stands out it’s the service, ladies taking and handing my order were so friendly and professional —will definitely try dining-in soon. Kudos.

We haven’t been to The Pearl since 1995 but it was always so great that we’ve never had anything better. The food was amazing and was our inspiration for always finding better eateries. One day we will travel back to Montreal and revisit The Pearl.

Food is always spot on, whether you dine in or do takeout. The takeout is very well organized and packed. It doesnt just stay warm, it stays hot! Service lacks at times, especially when its very busy, but the food makes up for it. I wish they would use uber eats or another delivery platform because they could do much more business, especially in the Winter when you dont want to go out and pick up the takeout.
