I purchased sausages several times to take home for cooking. The only real downer is with so many choices the staff have limited knowledge of the actual ingredients and offer no useful assistance in helping to pick from the variety of 50+ choices. It’s really up to you and basically trial and error. Nice they have chicken sausages which are good. Turkey Italian was quite good in a pasta sauce. Sicilian was well received at home. Calabrese was very fatty and I don’t recommend. I will return but for very specific flavours.
In Montreal, we only have one main sausage maker so I wanted to try something else. I tried their bangers and their bluecheese. Both tasted IDENTICAL - not good. No one in my family finished them. The bluecheese ones were slimy to the touch pre-cooking, which suggests they sold me OLD product.If this is what you can expect, I don't understand how they're in business.Gross.

I went during the summer after hearing a bunch of colleagues brague about how amazing they were. Long story short the sausages are amazing, the only problem is I had found a hair in my plate. The owner shot it out gave me a new plate and still charged me for it which Is why I am giving it 3 stars. Hopefully they will learn from that mistake it’s just not acceptable In a restaurant.
Great atmosphere...many types of different foods... a market where everyone knows you personally ... the staff of the marché de l'ouest are very nice as well always saying hello and very personable ... I usually take the salmon at marché pêche pêche ... cold pizza from Cavallaro is amazing... 5 stars!
