Sushi Japango

We’ve been coming here for over 10 years and the service and quality of sushi has always been consistently excellent. The staff are so friendly and we always look forward to adding a platter of Sushi Japango’s nigiri to our holiday spread.

Far from what it used to be…

I was craving sushi and decided to stop by what used to be one of my favourite places in the West Island. I ordered a 12-piece combo and a Shrimp Tartare Maki.

Almost half of the sushi fell apart and I had to eat them with a spoon — they were so poorly wrapped that they wouldn’t even hold together.

The veggie makis from the 12-piece combo tasted old. The rice was hard, as if it had been sitting out too long and dried out.
Same story with the salmon roll — dry and unpleasant.

Overall, a complete waste of money. Very disappointed with the quality, especially knowing how good this place used to be.

Sorry, but you’ve lost a customer.

I always come here during my lunch break and order avocado sushi and kamikazi. The sushis rolls are fresh and good. They're always enthusiastic and friendly. They have fast service. I would recommend going to Sushi Japango.

Sushi was alright, restaurant is more like a large storage closet with kitchen in back. The lady was very friendly.

I ordered a lunch special combo B (pointed at the option on the menu) the lady taking my order misunderstood and punched in combo D. When taking my credit card payment, she didn’t confirm the order nor the total. She just handed me the card reader, as I was tapping my card, i noticed I was overcharged. Mentioned it to the lady, she insisted I ordered combo D. Anyway, she does the “math” and gives me the difference in cash, although I paid by credit card. When I asked why they wouldn’t reimburse me on my CC, they said it’s too complicated and they would have to “make phone calls”, whatever that means. I believe they didn’t want to pay the credit card fees. They also shortchanged me when reimbursing me. The “chef” got mad when I called him out on it. Garbage attitude along with garbage food, perfect combo, unlike the rotten fish they served me. Some of the fish was greyish/brown and the other was pink. Clearly not fresh. Half of it went in the garbage. Don’t waste your hard earned money, especially when the steal from you to cover their CC fees and serve you old fish.

Very fresh, very tasty and wonderful service

Its just pick up mostly, but i promise you this was some of the best sushi i’ve had in montreal. Insanely fresh, very fast, the rice is cooked perfectly. It was so so good. Will be coming back.

Very bad customer service, they hang up phone while I was talking regarding some Uber order issue instead of solving. Very rude people . I ordered food with Uber and my order get cancelled by mistake after one second of placing order, and they took money. I m sure they didn't even start to prepare my order.I tried to make reorder they ask me to pay again and says to order for next dayI called them 5 times they didn't pickup phone .I also ask help to Uber they said to talk to restaurant.next day when I call they hang up on me while talking .
