Houston Avenue Bar & Grill - Airport Montreal (YUL)

There was a cockroach walking all over the bar. It made me lose my appetite. I ordered the Houston burger and you could tell it was warmed up instead of fresh off the grill. The food was not good overall.

The airport website says it opens at 4 a.m.
Google says it opens at 4:30

The employees tell me it opens at 5~5:30

We ordered a terrible order and the food took 3 hours to arrive at the table. Plus the drinks were very strange. I don't recommend it.

Decent place to eat if you have to at this airport. Had the small Caesar with crispy chicken which was big enough for a full meal. Salad was decent and the chicken was basically the three chicken fingers from the kids meal. Also had the kids hamburger, which you should pass on unless you are a toddler. Service was rushed and I was the one catching a plane?!

Very poor service, 1 hour wait, and when the food finally arrived, a cockroach appeared and was walking around on the table. Never seen before in my entire life.

When the waiter tells you: don't ask too much from cooks paid $15/HOUR that says it all I think🙄 not good at all and too expensive for what it's worth! I should have settled for a good cheese bagel...elsewhere!

A great dining spot at the airport! The service was quick, efficient, and friendly, which is exactly what you need while traveling. The atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable a great way to relax before a flight. Highly recommend stopping here if you’re looking for a quality meal at the airport!

Quick breakfast with great service! Not bad for airport food in a rush. Server was great. The fresh brewed orange peyote tea was fabulous!

Fast service, food took a bit only because we ordered in between menu shift.

All was good, and I repeat, our waiter John was awesom, fast, on point.

Also the tunes, the likes of Journey, KINGS OF LEON and more like it!

Always ask before sitting to make sure you can eat before your flight. Sometimes they have long wait for the kitchen.

The worst nachos i have ever had...ever (most expensive too). It is an airport restaurant, so I guess I didn't expect much, which is good. Vending machine chips with some cheese melted on it and like a few items thrown on. They did give some kepcup type "salsa" and sour cream. They were quick too.

This was the second time I went there, and on both occasions it took almost an hour to get my breakfast order. No exaggeration. This is an airport restaurant, nobody has one hour to just sit there and wait for their food. The kitchen staff needs a serious shake up if they are unable to deliver eggs to a half full restaurant on a weekday morning. Seriously. This is the most basic of services, breakfast. There's no excuses.

The wait staff was good my first time around, taking care of me, apologizing for the delays. This second time around, they couldn't have cared less. And mind you, I did not complain, I was not being difficult. I only asked for an ETA on my breakfast about 40 minutes in and all I got back in return was "they are a little backed up". Again, the place was half full, at best.

And, the bar was dirty. DIRTY. Full of crumbs and debris from whatever the person before me had.

Avoid, like the plague.

I had breakfast before boarding at this place on a Sunday morning.

A good 1/4 of my potatoes were crushed, my toasts were burnt and eggs were not fully cooked.

The breakfast sausages and coffee were just awful, and there were mistakes on my order. The pricing was absurdly high.

The only good thing I can say is that it was fast.

I will not go there again, ever.
