Club located on level A. Correct atmosphere. Volume too loud though.

We had bought tickets for the Latin evening. Unfortunately, it's not really a Latin evening... The music is geared towards a very young audience and ultimately, we find ourselves more in a club with boom boom than Latin music. So, if you were expecting to dance salsa, merengue or bachata at Alea's Latin evenings, that won't be the case...

Don’t waste your time at this sad excuse of a club. My friends and I were given complimentary club tickets by the casino staff while playing the slot machines, so we decided to go up and check it out. My girlfriend went to go to the bathroom before meeting the rest of us up there. When she got to the club entrance with her ticket, security said she was not allowed in because they were at capacity (which was a lie, as my friends and I were inside and it was barely half full). They started to interrogate her, asking why she had the ticket and how she’d gotten it, as if they didn’t believe that the casino staff would’ve given her a ticket. Then they proceeded to let two women in ahead of her, while still denying her entry. She never ended up getting in. I truly don’t know what reason they would have to not let her in other than the fact that she is a lesbian woman who doesn’t look traditionally feminine. Based on other reviews, it seems this isn’t the first instance of blatant discrimination at this club. It’s clear that Club Alea and Casino Lac Leamy would much rather cater to the grimy old men that skulk around their facilities for 18 year olds than uphold basic civil rights. I can honestly say I’ve been put off enough by this disgusting display of homophobia to never revisit this place for 10 lifetimes.

Even if you buy tickets in advance, you are not guaranteed to get in, since they sell more tickets than the allowed capacity. The line is long. And there is a dress code, but they don't specify it in their email or when listing. Very disappointing!
We bought tickets for the escapade after party with dj acraze the day they went on sale. After the festival we took an Uber directly there. We are refused access due to our clothing, and the casino employee "Eric" tells us that it is written in the email, we showed him the so-called email which makes no mention of a dress code , to then tell us that my electronic tickets must be fake. We are angry because it is mentioned nowhere in the emails or on the official purchasing site that there is a dress code to respect. We resign ourselves to taking an Uber to return to the hotel in Ottawa to change and return to the club. Finally back, no poster to show us the direction towards the famous club, we find 5 minutes later the stairs behind the slot machines. We wait in line, we ask why we have to wait, we have our tickets and the club closes in 1 hour, the bouncer tells us that there is no more room inside and that we probably won't be able to enter before closing, and what's more, the DJ we paid to see had already left! Even worse, there were people dressed the same as us before we changed that they let in. Very disappointed with our experience with this place permanently removed from our map for our next festivals. The only reason why I don't give 1 star is because the supervisor Ms. McConnery authorized us a refund of our tickets without questions. If the club wishes to make changes, do not overbook your events (this is illegal) and add your dress code in the event details. At edm festivals, we have festival outfits, not suits and covering dresses, and we don't change to go to a festival after party, our hotels are far away, ubers and taxis are expensive and we have limits to what we can bring in our bags.
Went for the escapade AP you are not guaranteed to get in even if you have tickets and there is a dress code so no rave outfits

Literally the worst place I’ve ever been! I’ve never left a review so I feel like I must stress how poor the staff and management is. They made us buy a 40$ ticket in advanced to the after party and said door opens at 11. Tell me why I pulled up at 10:40 and at 2am still haven’t gotten in with a ticket I paid for. Absolutely no updates throughout the 3 hour wait and staff was quite rude. Do better

Bought tickets early and at the door they told us they didn't have any space left. Don't go there!

So I showed up to this club after Escapade, expecting to be treated nicely with VIP tickets, and we still had to wait in line 45 minutes to find out they oversold the club’s tickets, terrible management and organizers, do not come here for an after party!!

I highly recommend this place. Best club in town for quality/price and security. Lots of promotion since the reopening and special events. Music for all genres playing Friday (hip hop/r&b) and Saturday (House/edm).

The experience it’s self and the DJ and staff are just amazing
I'm so happy with the reopening. It is by far one of the best places to go out dancing in the Gatineau/Ottawa region.
