Amazonas Peruvian Restaurant

This is a small family owned Restaurant. I have been here 5 times, and each times I have been extremely satisfied. I would say it is my favorite place to go for a meal in Aylmer, ON. The food is simple, yet very tasty with an authentic South American flavor. The atmosphere is always nice, servers are kind and do not come to bother you at the table dozen of times asking if everything is good. Even when full with customers, it is fairly quiet and it's possible to enjoy a conversation without being surrounded by loud people. Prices are very fair, in comparison to other restaurants, for the quality and quantity of food you receive. Don't hesitate to give it a try.

Tucked away in a cozy corner of Aylmer, this spot is absolutely worth the detour. Only my second time trying Peruvian food and I was pleasantly surprised again. The dishes are super well balanced—nice acidity, great textures—and the soup is packed with flavour while still keeping that comforting homemade vibe. Portions are generous (ended up turning mine into two meals 😅). Service is warm and you can really tell they love what they do. Everything looked so good I forgot to take pictures before digging in 🤭. Lovely place all around.

Friendly informative servers. Absolutely delicious food, we had their salad tonight first time, so yummy. Yucca fries are a MUST try.

A great experience! We sat inside, though the patio was available.
We shared Chupe de Camarones, easily enough for 2 people.
Our mains were Lomo Saltado and Seco de Cordero con Frejoles.
Drinks: Chicha Morada and Jugo de Piña.
My Peruvian friend says one of the best Peruvian restaurants he has experienced in Canada. Riquisimo!

Firstly their chica taste like Christmas, and it's homemade. A lot of love goes into their food. Even their French fries are homemade. Their Ceviche is the pinnacle meal of gods. I'm personally going to go back, and roll out everytime i'm there. Fantastic food! Great to find this gem.

*UPDATE* 2025 STILL going to this lovely restaurant! The ceviche is still THEE best I have tried in North America. More than happy to drive 45 minutes out of my way to have their delicious food. Yucca “chips” are super delicious. Bring a big empty belly. Try and eat everything you possibly can. I could eat here every day no problem. Hand made, home made, fresh, delicious and nutritious. Crazy good !

Food was really good, just like it's made in Peru.

I have been in 3 Peruvian restaurants. One in Montreal and two in Gatineau. This is by far the best one. The flavour is authentic, portions are generous and quality is really good.

It was our first time trying Pruvian food and definitely worth the half-hour drive. The food was delicious and very fresh. The service was fast. We would like to go back and try other meals. Everything seemed very authentic including the drinks.
