Aylmer BBQ offers a massive menu that’s sure to impress anyone who loves variety. Whether you’re craving classic Chinese takeout, BBQ specialties, or something in between, there’s no shortage of options here . Its the kind of place where everyone at the table can find something they like.
That said, not everything hit the mark. The egg rolls were unfortunately soggy, lacking that crispy exterior you expect. The wonton soup, while decent in flavor, felt a bit overpriced at $8 for a small portion.
On the upside, the egg fried rice was absolutely delicious supper fluffy, flavourful, and perfectly cooked. It really stood out and is something I’d definitely order again.
If you’re in the mood to explore a big menu and don't mind a few misses along the way, Aylmer BBQ is worth a try. Just know what to skip and what to savour.
I should mention the prices on the recipe are not what is listed on skip. So be mindful of that. It does feel dishonest.

The place is immaculate. The food is amazing..... Came out hot the best spare ribs I have ever had. You could just suck the meat off the bone and the flavor was incredible..... The size of the servings were amazing
Not bad for a Canadian version of Chinese food ...
Servers were extremely polite and betond accommodating in both French and English. I can't wait to get back there and try their curry shrimp or head in there for lunch and sample that lunch menu that they have on the board in the restaurant....

What the hell is this. For 20$ that is absolutely horrible. I started using this restaurant about a month ago and every visit has gotten worse. Girl who ran the cash today was horribly unfriendly. You dont get what you pay for. Would not reccomend. Avoid this place.
Disappointed in the food portions for takeout. We've order from this place for years, just spent 80$ on 3 chicken parms and they served us half a chicken breast for each meal. I understand cutting corners $$ but you're going to lose business with local customers if you keep doing that. Those looking to order out just manage your expectations

3 of us and we all agreed.
Service was quick and friendly.
Food was very good.
It serves small plates so we got to sample a few dishes.
Atmosphere not too noisy.

A staple here in Aylmer, the Aylmer B-B-Q has been around longer than I have, I've always had fond memories, but don't expect a dining experience, it's a cheap restaurant, clean seating area, but the kitchen could use work, and the kitchen staff could use a little hygiene training.
They gave me the entirely wrong order, and when I brought this up to the lady she tried to tell me this is what I ordered haha. Then there was a problem with payment and yeah this place is filthy garbage which is also terribly managed. It's a joke of a business and ENTIRELY lives up to the terrible rumours and stories you'll hear about it
DISGUSTING … last night did take out dinner of 6 egg rolls and burger with fries $30! Greasy Egg rolls looked they had been rolled over by a semi truck; barely all-dressed burger over done or reheated, coleslaw stale … the only barely edible item… FRIES. A week ago we had take out of 2 hot dogs and 2 small poutine=$30😳Adding my comments to the numerous negative reviews. So sad, this restaurant used to be a decent affordable place to eat… but we will not be eating there… as another one bites the dust.
They make good pizza. I have had other Foods that I would consider average. There are a lot of different restaurants in a y l m e r to experience.

We had lunch today, I ordered the #1 combination plate. it tasted like the fried rice was cooked in old grease...... terrible aftertaste. The Aylmer BBQ was once a great place to eat..... but it's gotten terrible and the owners don't seem to care.
Today, Feb6/2025 We.(4) went for a late lunch early supper, I ordered the Chinese food, the rice, the chow mein was awful, the ribs were at most ok, my husband had a Lasagna, he said the frozen one bought at grocery store are better and the garlic bread was a joke, a hot dog bun with a spot of garlic butter.... I sent my plate back and ordered a fry and BBQ gravy, the fry was ok and the gravy was flavored water, not thick like gravy, very disappointed! when came time to pay, I was charged 14.95$ for my plate, 7$ fry. I said to the waitress, I did not eat it, she was aware but the boss lady in back would only let her credit me 4$, so it cost 51.10$ for a terrible meal, will not be going back. Please don't waste your time going there
