Went there over the summer and the murals and decorations drew us in, the music was loud and very generic Latin beats, still way too loud for a dining establishment.
The staff is untrained to say the least, there's a manager in a blazer walking around without a clue. The drinks were the worst I've had in any restaurant in Gatineau or Ottawa. The food was promising since they did all the makeup to the establishment.... Turns out it's the worst Mexican food I've ever had. Please do yourself a favor and head to Torta boys, El Camino or Fiesta Latina for authentic Mexican flavours. This place is a money grab and the owners
are disrespecting Mexican heritage by presenting their attempt of Mexican cuisine to our community. Literally just hire a good Mexican chef and fire the manager that has no clue and your place will be a bit better ..... Do not recommend. Save your hard earned money and try something authentic!

I just had some churros and they weren't great. I had tasted the churros of La Catrina. There's really no photo. I thought I found the same taste but no, too bad!! They were not crispy enough and very empty inside.

Overpriced. Small portion. Doesn't taste like authentic Mexican food. We paid over 100.00 for nothing. My husband wasn't expecting a Mcdonald Kids meal. He made homemade nachos after. I do not recommend this restaurant... but it's up to you....

The decor definitely looks great, the all tequila bar is also great. But the service in my opinion was a bit slow, For the Food those were very mid tacos… they lacked flavour and the tortilla breaks easily wouldn’t go there for the food but 100% for the Cocktails. The margaritas were great.

There on a Friday night (6 of us) … there are a few things that led me to this review. First the positive: the decor is lovely - like really lovely - the bar set up looks inviting and fun. The bathrooms were clean. The drink menu is a lot of fun. Now the not so nice:

1. Young inexperienced staff running the whole place while some guy in suit behind the bar fills his ego tanks talking nonsense. The hostess was like a deer in headlights - super green.

2. Our server also super green and inexperienced.

3. Our drink order, app, and dinner took forever - everyone was hangry and checked out by the end.

4. Mistake on our order without any communication on how long or how it would essentially be rectified.

5. They have so many staff members looking at each other with this dumb look on their face - why not hire half the people with more experience and improve service as well as expedited delivery of food?

6. Some of the food was good - some of it was lame. The avocado salad - lame, portion sizes (I get it restaurants are hurting - but this is silly - masa and veggies are cheap - protein ok I get it - but like I said, they had 50 people running around like idiots. They could reduce their labour overhead dramatically, and maybe improve the quality and makeup of their plates. Also we ordered buckets of beer and they were too warm.
7. The entrance is stupid there isn’t a single place to sit and the hostess is like the soup nazi keeping you standing as opposed to inviting people to sit at the bar. Is she stupid ??? We could have spent $80 at the bar while we waited instead she lectured me about how one person in our party wasn’t of age to sit at the bar, which is fine. The mother of this person could’ve stayed with them.

8. Anyways … the Spritz venue speaks volumes of the their lack of experience. It would be a shame to see this project go in the same direction.

They need to hire a consultant to help round out the amazing efforts they’ve put in to the decor and flow of the venue.

It’s clear they have investors with deep pockets … c’mon Grupo whatever your name is … let’s get this party started and fix things so that we can all enjoy all your beautiful efforts.

How did I know this review would fly right over your stubborn head? Read all your reviews carefully and never mind what words I chose - you might learn something ! Don’t worry we won’t be back at your establishment I don’t like spending my money in lame restaurants with shitty food and stubborn owners that don’t appreciate their clientele.

One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time, with the service to match. Mia is incredible and was a great server. The crispy fish tacos are amazing! Highly recommend
