I recently celebrated my wife's birthday at Banco Bistro, located within the Casino du Lac Leamy. Overall, our experience was enjoyable. Staff The staff at Banco Bistro were welcoming and attentive. Upon arrival, we were greeted by friendly hostesses who quickly seated us without delay due to our reservation. The service throughout the evening was generally good, with our waiter being pleasant and eager to assist. However, it was apparent that he lacked a solid understanding of the menu, particularly when it came to wine pairings and food details. While his friendliness was appreciated, a more knowledgeable staff would greatly enhance the overall dining experience, especially for those looking for thoughtful recommendations. Food The food at Banco Bistro showcased a straightforward but well-executed menu. The dishes we ordered were flavorful and met our expectations, contributing positively to the evening's celebration. However, there was a noticeable lack of attention to presentation, which detracted from the overall bistro aesthetic. With a bit more creativity and effort in plating, the dishes could easily reflect a more upscale bistro atmosphere rather than a casual dining setting. Despite this, the taste was commendable and left a good impression. While Banco Bistro and the Casino du Lac Leamy offer a nice outing, when compared to establishments in Montreal, it's clear that there are areas for improvement, especially in terms of staff training and general ambiance. This venue still makes for a good dining option, especially for a special occasion like a birthday. The combination of good food, cheerful staff, and live entertainment certainly made for a memorable evening, and I would recommend it as a viable local option.

Atmosphere “sad”, dull lighting. Service was okay. Staff were distracted by a sports event on the tv above the bar to the point where our food sat for a few minutes waiting for pick up. Our table overlooked the buffet area that was very unkept and messy. Food quality was okay. Fries were cold and poutine was a disappointment.

Pour débuté, une fois assis ,le serveur qui nous a été désigné semblait nous ignoré, on a réussie de lui demandé de l'eau, nous l'avons eu il a renverser tout le contenant de sa carafe sur la table, un de nos invité a reçu cette eau sur ses vêtements, aucune excuse reçu du serveur, tout était trempé d'eau, on a du changer de table, ce serveur nous dit qu'il devrait être cinq serveurs ce soir mais qu'ils n'étaient que deux, l'expression dans son visage lorsqu'on lui demandait quelque chose nous donnait comme impression qu'on le dérangeait, nous avions réservé pour fêté l'anniversaire de l'un d'entre nous, soirée au restos, au casinos et hébergé au Hilton du lac Lemay. On sait dit se sont des choses qui peuvent arrivées, mais il aurait dû s'excusé. Les clients ne devrait pas être punis parce que l'employeur a réduit son personnel. Et oui pourquoi pas finir en beauté , sur les deux factures reçu ils nous avaient oublié de nous facturé une consommation que nous lui avons mentionné, encore ici il n'était pas content. De retour avec de nouvelles factures ,cette fois il avait rajouté un repas d'extra sur chacune de nos factures. Ce n'est pas la premiere fois que notre service est pas à la hauteur de ce que tout le monde veut en allant au restaurant mais cette fois ici ça méritait d'être mentionné. Nous faisons ce genre de sortie au moins dix fois par année a cet endroit. Nous nous demandons si nous devrions nous déplacée l'autre coté de la rivière et allé au casino d'Ottawa Hard Rock pour être bien servi.... On va surement tenté l'expérience.

Le serveur que nous avions était pas très communicatif. Ne souriait pas, c'est comme nous étions des numéros et passez au suivant. Si nous comparons la veille où la serveuse était souriante, nous parlais et était patiente, cela fait toute la différence.

Disappointed with our meals. We were 4 at a table and everyone’s food was not hot. We mentioned it to the server and his response was I will tell them. We expected a discount on our bill but no paid full price. It took a long time to be served and get our food so nobody wanted to return our plates so we ate it the way it was. Expensive meal for the quality of the food and mediocre service. Will definitely not return.

Food only ok, nothing to write home about, red wine served hot, Waiter suggested we add ice to it when we complained it was Too hot. Cocktails awful,no one at the table finish them they were too bad they need a much better bartender. The only thing good about our expérience was the service.
