Hands down the best meal I've had all year. Every last bite had so much flavour. Highly recommend getting the arancinis and the duck.

The beef tartare was very pleasant, lots of mustard and it paired with the bread beautifully! Had the full size and was full but not weighed down, service was good as well despite the size of our group!

Went with family and we all got the Pork Bao and it was absolutely delicious. The pork was wonderfully tender and has a lovely flavour from the kimchi and pickled veggies on the Bao. They also give you plenty of fries, which were also delicious, so you get plenty of food! None of us walked away hungry. Definitely would want to go back.

The food was excellent. Coctails were good. The only downside is the noise of the A/C unit.

The hype is worth it, the smoked duck breast was UNBELIEVABLY tender and delicious! The server was wonderful and speaks English, only thing is the drink wasn’t the best but the food was too too
good! I have to add that I went back and this time the duck was served with different veges and no chutney and it tasted bad without the chutney I am afraid…please keep it consistent
We got there for brunch. I definitely recommend the smoked duck and the cod dishes. The fish was creamy and well cooked, the duck breast was smoky and tender, it did have a lot of jam in it, so if you don't have a sweet tooth like me, probably best to go for the cod. The shakshuka was good.

Came here on Friday before the Green Day event at Bluesfest. We understandably knew they might be a little busy, that was our expectations.
I even reserved a table for 6:30pm ahead of time. We did not expect this level of unorganization though.
Firstly, we arrived at 6:30 for our dinner reservation. The hostest told us we have to wait a bit longer and proceeded to seat 2 other tables after us which had 6:00pm reservations, but were clearly late.
Secondly, once he realized we've been waiting well over 10 minutes after arriving, he asked us if we wanted to be seated inside while we wait for a table outisde on the patio. He pourred water and left us with the menus. While we are waiting and checking the menus, couldnt help be bothered by the chefs in the back constantly yelling and swearing obscene things to each other.
Finally, 10 minutes waiting inside, the hostest comes back and says theres a table avaible outside for us (20 minutes after reservation time). So we get seated, also thinking our orders will be taken. Nope. The hostest left us with our menus again, and refilled our water and left.
After another 15 minutes passed with no service, so we decided to get up and leave. It was 7:05pm, our reservation was for 6:30pm and we havent even ordered drinks yet. Absolutely unacceptable. We will not be coming back. This was also our first time visiting. Clearly Poor management.

Small cute restaurant in Gatineau with some quirks. Food is generally good quality and portions are large. So kudos there. However servers are a bit pretentious and not overly cheerful, so expect to be underwhelmed service wise. Not to say the service was bad, but it shows that they’re just doing a job and don’t love it.
I ordered the Boa (Korean bbq pork with house kimchi, pickle cucumber). It was meh. Rule #1 don’t put 2 different pickled items in the same ensemble. Totally ruined the taste of the pork, which was quite good. Luckily I ordered a side poutine which is a staple in Gatineau and shoved the pork in there. I had to discard the boa and pickled items. Rule #2, don’t order Asian at a non Asian restaurant expected Asian results. That was my bad. I would go back and order something else.

We chanced upon this lovely bistro en route to Ottawa and were so pleasantly surprised! As tourists, we were initially confused by all the French road signs — and then the menu here was entirely in French too! 😅
They don’t have an English menu, but thankfully, our server graciously translated every dish for us in detail. Through him, everything just sounded delicious — and truly, it was.
The arancini with Brussels sprouts and cream was unbelievably fresh and flavourful — a plant-based dish that completely won me over.
The poutine? Next level. Topped with tender beef, it was rich, hearty, and absolutely divine.
The fish served over carrot risotto was just what we needed — comforting, elegant, and beautifully balanced.
And the drinks… out of this world!
A fun tidbit: our server shared that we were on the Quebec side, where French is the main language (even road signs!). But just a short drive over to Ottawa (15 mins?) and you’ll find people mostly speaking English, with a touch of Italian in some neighbourhoods. Fascinating contrast for a road trip!
We loved this little stop — thank you for making our detour so memorable.
Highly recommend popping by for lunch if you’re passing through. Totally worth it!

Went there for brunch with friends. Place is very cozy and welcoming. Staff is friendly. Overall experience was smooth and nice. Food was very delicious, and portions were big. Prices very affordable, and they have coffee Nespresso, which is amazing. Would like to recommend this place, but better call them and ask for table in a prior, as place gets busy very quickly.

Simply great. Some of the best food we had this year.
I had the most delicious blueberry sauce. It should be made from wild blueberries. It doesn’t have an industrial taste. ??The potato cubes are also delicious, sweeter than anything I’ve ever tasted in Ottawa. The food combination here is also very unique. The brunch in Quebec really beats the brunch in Ontario.
