We were blown away by the incredible service from Alex Edouardo! Having visited many Mexican restaurants—especially around Ottawa—this one truly stands out. The food we enjoyed this afternoon was absolutely delicious, with generous portions and beautifully prepared dishes that exceeded our expectations. The patio added to the charm, adorned with vibrant Mexican décor that made the atmosphere feel festive and authentic. We’ll definitely be coming back—again and again!
Very good Mexican-like food. Wide choice of gluten/wheat free meals, and non-alcoholic beers. Service was very slow, it was crowded and a Saturday evening. Nice server attitude, so overall worth the wait.

Mexicana 129 has been in my top 3 restaurants of all time for the past 10 years, and for good reason! The quality is consistently amazing, the flavors are always on point, and the vibes are unbeatable (plus, the patio is simply gorgeous).
I can’t recommend this place enough. If you haven’t been yet, you’re seriously missing out.
