The service is unilingual English. I ordered a chai tea latte, and I'm not sure what I got. It tasted nothing like a Chai tea latte. As a positive point, it’s a nice little place and the location of the café is well located.

A New and Inspiring Connection: My First Visit to NWAC
Today marks my first time visiting the Native Women’s Association of Canada (NWAC), and I’m sitting here, coffee in hand, feeling genuinely glad for the opportunity. Not only have I gained a deeper appreciation for the important work NWAC does, but I’ve also had the privilege of meeting incredible people from Indigenous communities, whom I now see as brothers and sisters.
The space here is more than just an organization; it’s a sanctuary for advocacy, healing, and empowerment. You can feel the energy and dedication that NWAC pours into supporting Indigenous women, girls, and gender-diverse people. Their focus on addressing critical issues like gender-based violence, healthcare access, and economic opportunity resonates deeply, but what truly moved me was the sense of community. It’s about building bridges and sharing in the journey toward justice and equality.
I was particularly impressed by how they blend traditional knowledge with modern solutions, promoting self-reliance and respect for Indigenous heritage. Meeting people here has been a reminder that we are all interconnected, and that supporting one another on these paths to justice is key.
For anyone who hasn’t yet, I highly recommend connecting with NWAC to learn more about their incredible initiatives. It’s more than just advocacy—it’s a movement that is vital for the future of Canada’s Indigenous communities. This is a space that welcomes and encourages you to be part of something larger.
I’m leaving here today not only with a stronger sense of purpose but with new friendships and connections that I’ll cherish. Looking forward to staying engaged and supporting the essential work NWAC is doing.

Wow. I've been there several times and I'm never disappointed. The sandwiches are delicious and the salads and soups are just as delicious. The place is super bright. Sometimes you have to wait a bit to order and receive the food but it's worth it.

A very well designed indigenous-themed cafe, shop and art space. Also feels like a very inclusive community gathering space.
Great indigenous cafe/restaurant. Lovely atmosphere with friendly staff and unique and delicious menu that's vegetarian friendly!

Bought 2 over priced sandwiches with barely anything on them. The grilled vegetables has 1 slice pepper, egg plant and cheese. It was so soggy and no flavour. The chicken sandwich had approximately 2 oz of dry, tasteless chicken, tomato and lettuce. No sauce for flavour. For $12.95 per sandwich. $27. For 2 sandwiches. We were very let down. And we will not be back.

Love it here! I love learning about indigenous history and art, and this place is such an overflowing well of culture and good food. I'm OBSESSED with their raspberry lemonade iced tea, I grab it every time. The store is very modern but not overwhelmingly so, and the location is perfect for government workers looking for a place to eat while on break, or anyone looking to enjoy downtown Portages/Hull. The shop connected to the cafe also sells a lot of artisanal crafts made by local indigenous creators, so be sure to stop by and support these artists if you have the money ♥️

Ok wow, first and certainly last time at Café Boileau.. Good service but the food really very average. For $16 I got a “chicken and sumac” wrap that tastes like nothing... overpriced and ordinary.

Great food and atmosphere. Poor service. The food is delicious, but expensive given the portion sizes. The first time I came here I was served coffee with milk that tasted sour. I brought this to the attention of the staff who insisted the milk was fine. I ended up throwing out the coffee because it tasted disgusting.I decided to give this place another try today. Coffee was fine, but they messed up my food order despite confirming it with me multiple times.WiFi here is limited to periods of an hour and a half, which limits the cafés usefulness as a place to work throughout the day.

Had some great sandwiches from there (Mushroom/Brie/Pesto is incredible) but today, I had Egg Salad and the bread was really dry and curled up a the edges. Thinking they need to make them to order so that they are not sitting on display uncovered for hours. Coffee is lovely :-)
