Je tiens à recommander chaleureusement le Bistro British ! Lors de ma visite, j'ai eu la chance d'être servie par Maika et Jade, dont le service a été tout simplement exemplaire. Leur attention, leur sourire et leur professionnalisme ont rendu l'expérience encore plus agréable. L'ambiance du bistro est conviviale et chaleureuse, idéale pour passer un bon moment. Si vous cherchez un endroit où bien manger tout en étant accueilli comme à la maison, c'est l'adresse parfaite !

Very disappointed, not what it used to be. The coffee is bad and the food is not great. The location, space and atmosphere is still charming and nice, it's just too bad I don't feel like ordering anything there anymore. An improvement in food and coffee quality would make this place perfect.

The food is excellent and so are the drinks. However, the employees are extremely unprofessional. Talk loudly about their day and other employees in front of customers, no smile or thank you... It's embarrassing.

Really love that the British Cafe is at the heart of Aylmer. Have never had a drink or food I didn't enjoy. Sometimes service takes a while, and they seem to always need more employees, but I've never met a member of staff that wasn't polite and courteous.
The employees here are not open-minded at all!! I was eating with my friends when a black man came into the cafe to give his CV. The waitress told him there was no more room and her tone was stupid and condescending. A few minutes later, a young white woman arrived to give her CV and the same waitress happily took her CV without asking any questions. This waitress was clearly racially profiling and discriminating against the man of color. I find it inhumane in 2024 to still act like this.

It was a very relaxing experience. The staff is very friendly. With all the things going on in the world and the stress in life these days It was very refreshing to have a time out. If you are looking for a time out, this is the place to go.

Cute cafe. Limited seating, so keep expectations low on that. There will be plenty of seating outdoors when the weather gets better. Great change of pace if you're in the Aylmer part of Gatineau, or want to visit somewhere different in the Ottawa metropolitan. Some bakery stuff here too. Try the "oreo" cheesecake for a non-overindulgent treat. Bathrooms are good. Parking is street, but shouldn't be too bad most afternoons. Not sure about mornings
