I ate here a few hours ago and I got a poutine. There was a lot of cheese, the gravy was delicious, and the price was good. BUT the fries were horrible. They were super oily and mushy, but at the same time they tasted overcooked somehow. I think maybe they were sitting around and they fried them a second time? They were really bad, I only ate half the poutine and my stomach is killing right now and I feel very sick. I really had high hopes based on the other positive reviews but...
The value is what you go here for but be ready to wait. It was roughly a 30 minute wait because of all the hype they are getitng on social media so you need to be patient. The prices for the portion sizes are unbeatable. I got a medium poutine with extra cheese curds and this is one spot you don't need to order extra cheese, it already comes with enough. The gravy is perfect and not too runny or too thick and they give a generous amount of it. The fries are curly fries which...
The best canteen in Gatineau and in my top 3 in Quebec as a whole, I loved the food and what can I say about the service, the gentleman cares about his cooking and gave me a taste when I was hesitant, it was great
