Yesterday I travelled with my family from Montreal & looked forward to trying your food at the recommendation of a very good friend. I always try to remain objective especially with the understanding that the last 2+ years have been difficult. However, covid, lack of staff, etc. should no longer be at the forefront of your excuse resulting in a lack of customer service and by extention customer satisfaction.Even though the food was good but over priced, I still would have left happy if it was not for 5 pieces of bone that I bit into after ordering your rib sandwich. Luckily I did not break a tooth!!! Unfortunately, my daughter also received the wrong order so out of courtesy we waited until she received her shrimp sandwich before starting to eat.If customer satisfaction was at the forefront of your establishment, the least you could have done was not charge me for my plate or even a $5 pelegrino I ordered. Offering my girls desert (a cookie) would have even been a great gesture.
Great service. The baked goods were tasty, and the hot drinks were OK. We had the Rhum ham and the classic dutch baby. The dutch baby pastry was good, but definitely did not enjoy how the meat was cooked, nor the apple sauce it was soaked in. The ham was nothing special, but the scalloped potatoes that came with it were well done!
Cute little cafe with some pretty unique dishes. I ordered an iced London and the Mexican breakfast. The London fog was delicious. It wasn’t too sweet and had a lot of flavour to it. The Mexican breakfast was also good, but didn’t leave me wanting more. Also it was the only option I had because the menu did not have any other gluten free options which was unfortunate. Overall a good experience but I suggest adding more gluten free options and maybe expanding the space because it was very tight.
We had the Edgar Club and it was amazing! Fresh soft multi grain bread, flavourful chicken and LOVED the pickle!!
An excellent brunch place with each dish we had being superb. A must go to for any brunch lover in the area.Order:Chick Pea ($20.00 each) x1- Nice and hearty stew- The bread paired very well and was excellent for dipping- Perfectly poached eggs- It would have been good to have a bit of citrus to lift the dish- The spinach wasn't necessaryPork Schnitzel ($23.00 each) x1- Great tasting pork- The potatoes were amazing- The roasted tomatoes were great- The polenta added so much flavor- The poached eggs were perfectly done- Lovely taste of dill throughout- The zucchini wasn't necessaryCappuccino ($4.25 each) x1- Great tasting coffee- Tasted a little acidic but mellowed out by the milk- Beautiful latte artAtmosphere and Site:- Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available- They have a bakery connected to the main restaurantService:- The food came out fairly quickly- The staff were able to speak both English and French
Service was excellent. Food was pretty good ? Definitely note your average brunch place ? Tables are small, would not recommend large groups, better for table for 2.
Another amazing lunch at Edgar.
Such a darling cafe with a decent selection for their menu. We came here to try their food specifically and enjoyed the pea meal poutine sandwich and Vietnamese beef dip sandwich ($16)The portion for the pea meal poutine sandwich is especially worth it. Definitely coming back to try more!
The food here is incredible! Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area. We got the Broccolini and Salade repas - both delicious. Service was awesome too.
Ok WOW! This was our last food stop for a weekend getaway to Ottawa. We didn’t realize a lot of places required reservations but we got lucky finding this place and getting a table relatively quickly. The restaurant is small, the menu is small but the food was AMAZING! Hands down one of the best brunches we have had.We ordered the Dutch Baby and the Peameal. The flavour combo on each was perfection.

I had wonderful brunch here. All menus look interesting, and all I ordered taste good! Parking was easy. Had to wait for about half an hour to be seated (only 6 tables) but worth waiting! Even the scones they have for takeouts are delicious.
This place is such a gem! I usually go for brunch, which has always been delicious. Great use of fresh, local ingredients in all of their dishes. Pre-pandemic there was always a line-up to be seated, so make sure to give yourself enough time so you don't need to rush through your meal.
Love the brunch here. Just the best in my opinion... although everything is super rich... guess that's why the dishes are so tasty.
