The sushi seemed to be fresh when I went and no fishy taste. I liked how they cooked the salmon belly, jaw and so on. It is still old school and you need to write down on paper what you want. Nothing bad to talk about the food and I have been to many AYCE sushi. AYCE is usually a hit or a miss.

Food isn’t the best; it was so heavy that made me think it contained some kind of processed oil. Doesn’t seem too clean either. The service was bad; we went for all you can eat; first they served half of the order and we were like where’s the rest; the waitress said “Im holding the rest of your order coz from my experience you won’t be able to eat all of it”!! It’s a technique they use to limit your all you can eat intake!! Bad experience and won’t go again.

It's an all you can eat sushi place so obviously they do cost cutting The "crab" meat is all fake crab Crunchy salmon rolls are pretty much 95% tempura and 5% salmon
The banana tempura was good, but it's not an entire banana so you should order twice what you expect

We come here often but I think they increased the amount of MSG in every food. After eating here I usually feel sick even though I don’t eat much. The MSG has a very sickening feeling. Will definitely not come back :(

First visit. After noticing what the menu meant (lunch or dinner) I was able to order exactly what I wanted. The food was fresh, the rice was still a bit warm, and the meal came with an extra cup of a sweeter sauce on top of the usual soya, ginger and wasabe. The service was good but there seemed to be not enough staff at that moment for perfection. It happens. The environment was ok, nothing to rave about but not bad either. Would I go back? Yes. It's the only place in Gatineau where I could order 'all you can eat' that I know about; so I picked the fish I preferred and had a filling meal. The price was quite decent for such a place. Overall worth the visit and worth returning to. It was not too busy when I went, and I enjoy quieter restaurants.

This restaurant is dark and grungy upon walking in. Some of the floor tiles were no longer glued to the floor, so you have to watch where you walk. Booster seats for kids were black/filthy. The female bathroom smells of sewage. Spider webs in corners of the walls, light fixtures. If cleanliness is lacking in the dining area, what does that mean for the kitchen area? Who knows. The food in my experience was good. I don't have any complaints about the food really except for the fact that sometimes we received dishes that we did not choose from the menu.

I had a severe MSG reaction after I ate there. They didn't bring us exactly what we ordered and instead brought random stuff in random quantities. The wait staff was kind but the people at the cash (the owners, I presume), were extremely rude and tried to charge us extra for drinks, which we didn't order. Overall, the quality of the food is below par and prices are very high. Would not recommend.

I don't like to write negative reviews but not in this case. We do not recommend this sushi shop. Two weeks ago, we visited this sushi shop for the first time. The service was extremely slow, and to make matters worse, the waitress's uniform was dirty. It was our first time there, and she didn’t take the time to explain how things work at their shop. We were unpleasantly surprised to find out that what’s listed on the menu isn’t necessarily what you’ll get. We ordered a sushi-pizza, and what arrived was disappointing— rice covered with tiny pieces of salmon and tuna, far from what the picture showed. When we asked to speak with the manager, another waitress came over, pretending to be the manager, and told us that the "good pizza" with a proper amount of fish is only available for take-out orders. The service and food were all disappointing, and we definitely didn’t enjoy our experience.

I know many people who used to work here and they told me so many stories of how dirty everything is. Sometimes if there's a rush, the waiters aren't required to wash the utensils, plates or cups since there isn't time, so they just use water to rinse and reuse the same cups for new customers. DISGUSTING ALSO, the chef cuts the oranges using the same cutting board that is used to cut RAW MEAT. So there is a possibility you get salmonella.
This is totally unacceptable and should be reported to the health department.
