Always amazing food and service! Went for a small celebration and they made it very special!

Service was absolutely fantastic, our server was attentive, had a great sense of humour and very knowledgeable.

Our experience at Kato Restaurant started out with a warm welcome by the host however, the rest of our experience was mediocre at best. The service was ridiculously slow, the noise level was like being at a dance club and the server was absent and seemingly uninterested in serving our table. It's so unfortunate because we were there to celebrate. Instead, we had to chase down the server for every single request. Not sure we will go back nor will we be too enthusiastic to recommend this restaurant to friends and family.

Fabulous experience with a blend of fancy ambiance and spa convenience! The sushi was very fresh, reasonably priced and beautifully presented. Definite repeat visit and the spa is an added bonus. Heck you can even go golfing!

Nice discovery . Try anything on the menu . It’s all quite good . Fun place in a great hotel with a spa connected to it .we ate the wagyu dumplings , seasoned ademanes, shrimp tempura , bavette with Asian seasonings (to die for) and miso . Sitting outside , you have a view of the outdoor spa . Great place to spend a zen weekend taking care of yourself

I have never had something at KaTO that wasn't incredibly delicious. I have been twice now. This most recent time was with my husband to celebrate our anniversary and a birthday. The freshness of the fish makes the experience so good. It melts in your mouth. Our server Sabrina was exceptional. Was able to describe the nuances of different dishes and very knowledgeable about the drink selections. She made the meal even more memorable. Thank you for such a wonderful evening!

Thank you to Flavie, our wonderful server who made our first night at the resort an amazing experience!

This is my and my family's first trip to Gatineau, and the Kato restaurant was certainly worth our 4-5 hour drive!

Our Order: Brussel Sprouts, Angry Chicken, Flaming Scallops, Kato Special Maki Sushi, and Wagyu Sliders. For drinks, we had the Bonsai Mocktail. For dessert, we had the Pannacota and the Tempura Cheesecake with Matcha Ice Cream.

Flavie offered to make the two sliders into three so our table could share! It was a very thoughtful offer that we took, and every bite was delicious! My personal favourite were the Brussel Sprouts. The vinaigrette and char made an amazing combination that I was blown away by. Another highlight of our night were the literally flaming Scallops that made lovely pictures for us to take back. We eat sushi a ton back home, but the Kato Special Maki was definitely a unique Maki with an outer shell I have never tried before and tasted scrumptious.

Overall, this has been a beautiful start to our stay at Cartier Hotel and Spa Resort~

First time going and saw that the food looked good however very low quality especially the sushi. Everything is overpriced and also takes so long for the food to come. Two small tacos around 3-4 inches is $16. Way too overpriced. The sushi rice is also very low quality. Also the menu said they had wagyu but when we got the food it wasn’t wagyu at all. Too much money for a very small portion. Food takes too long to come. Not good restaurant.

The food was incredible, the service was friendly and polite. Large dinning area with beautiful atmosphere. Okay, back to the service. She was explaining the menu to us, laughing away. Everyone looked like they were having fun at work. Watching them make the food was the highlight! Great work!! We so enjoyed every minute! ♥️ thank you.

The spicy chicken tasted like the angry chicken in Korea and we were so happy with the sushi and the cocktails . Wagyu sliders were yum and portion was a perfect size to share or to have as a single meal
