I had the cheeseburger and a small poutine and it was absolutely delicious!
I just walked out. I saw the newer woman at the cash deal with cash then make a routine, then use her unwashed hand to push down the fries. I'm not asking g you to believe me... just watch when you are there.
Presentation was lacking; the pulled pork looked washed or previously frozen & I did not expect this format of smoked meat. Fries were freshly made in fresh oil, generous portions and lots of cheese curds! Where presentation lacked, flavour made up for it.
Not the best poutine I've tried in Quebec but delicious nonetheless. 4/5 stars. Would likely return
We’ve been coming here for poutine for years, and our family has always loved the taste. However, this time the poutine didn’t quite taste the same—specifically, the French fries were served with the skins on, which made the texture feel a bit off while chewing. Aside from that, everything else was great, and it’s still one of the best spots for poutine in the Gatineau–Ottawa area.
The only thing I didn't like was the bread for the smoked meat sammy. Why not just use Rye? Or have an option? 5 stars anyways, because the meat is amazing. The poutine is what poutine should be. Staff are friendly and fun, so a grand merci to La Pataerie Hulloise!
Love their poutine! I like how the bowls are wide rather than deep.
I only order classic poutine and 2 steamies when I hit up a Casse Croute. These guys nailed it. Took off a point because it’s a little pricey and was prompted for a 15% tip. I don’t think you should tip if you aren’t waited on but I understand that times are tough.
Good fries/ poutine. Everything else is ok at best. Restaurant is so small and old, difficult to move inside.

Poutine of my dreams. Perfect amount of everything, crunchy fries, loved it. The lady working the cash was also super nice, we almost ordered a familial for 2 people and she recommended we get a grande instead (and it was the right call), so big thank you to her. The hot dog was also good, but I'd go back for the poutine :)

The only thing is that the doors are really hard to open so one would think is closed. Other than that, really good poutine!!
Fries needed to be fried longer
This is my partner and mines favourite poutine spot living in Ottawa. It has the best cheese curds and really good gravy with the portion you get.
