We had a wonderful diner at le Pied de Cochon. The ris de veau portion was very generous and was delicious. The mustard sauce was excellent!I had the Bavette, which was delicious and perfectly done. We had a nice bottle of Brouilly; the meal came out to 150$, which is very decent considering the quality of the meal. Kudos to the music selection, which mixed some vintage and some more recent French songs. We also had excellent and personal service. We will come back!

Excellent French restaurant. They have all the classics and do them wonderfully. Good little atmosphere with French music, reasonable price, good choice of wines. When I have a taste for French cuisine, I don't even ask myself the question, that's where I go.

Impeccable cuisine worthy of a French restaurant. When we made our reservation around 5 a.m. we were served quickly. The meal was delicious. The same goes for the cocktail. The service was perfect, the waitress took the time to explain each item on the plate.I will return to this place.

I honestly have never seen a restaurant like that. Hidden entrance, no one in the restaurant. Only 3-4 tables of people during our stay counting us. Bad service. I can bet that the food was frozen as my foie gras tasted not that much and it was cold. Salads had no dressing at all. They screwed up the deserts. They told us they were going to refund one of our cakes but they didn't. I honestly felt like we were in one of those hell's kitchens. Please close this restaurant for the respect of all.

The level of this store is far from the store in Montreal. The water that comes up tastes like tap water. There is a thick layer of oil on the foie gras appetizer. The smell of foie gras has not gone away. Fried, the oil has a carcinogenic "rancid" taste. used expired fried bread . There are only three small slices of appetizer wonton stew. Is it for cats? There are 5 small slices of duck on the main dish, which is bloody and undercooked, and you can't even bite. What kind of chef is this? Finally, I mentioned that the oil used was expired oil. The front desk only admitted that it was the next day's bread, and refused to refund the money. I won't be fooled for the second time. This restaurant should not be able to enter because they can't find the entrance. There is no money to repair the toilet floor and let the guests stand on the tape and wash their hands leisurely.Dietary restrictions: don't eat here

Poor service, I do not recommend.Take your money and use it elsewhere.Lack of finesse, waiters aren’t qualified and kept bothering us the whole night.Food was brought to us and dropped off the plates when given.

Save your time and money and go eat somewhere else. The wait staff are incredibly rude, and the food is simply mediocre.Should have known better, as the restaurant was nearly empty.

Very slow service with missed drinks order being taken and some boy brought to the table even when ordered. There was a slip of paper showing lower prices for some dishes but when the bills were prepared they charged up to 40% more. Not relating to any price shown on either menu. For example confit if duck was shown at 21.95 which 4 of us ordered and then we were each charged 34. Leek soup was shown as 8 and charged at 11.When the confit came it was very tough on the outside and raw inside. Confit is cooked for a long time and usually falls off the bone. Not in these 4 cases. When I sent one back nothing else was offered in its place and when I asked what was happening with my meal, it can back a few minutes later with them saying it had been cooked more. Confit requires long cooking so this didn’t make sense and I did not eat it. I asked them to remove the bone and meat on it and and then ate the vegetablesWhen we got the bills they had overcharged us for soups and confit of duck. The older lady who was serving came to talk ( and shout ) at us when we queried the bills and the charge for meat that was raw and could not be eaten. She repeatedly said that we didn’t want to pay and would walk away. Then she would come back and shout at us again. We offered to pay the price for the soup that was on the paper menu and half the price of 21.95 of the duck as we had only eaten the vegetable. 11 for vegetables seemed more than reasonableThe older lady called the police and after about 20 minutes they arrived. In the meantime we had offered cash for the soup and vegetables and they refused to take it.The police asked us to pay the bills, including for raw confit and that we would have to claim the excess charge from the authorities. Likewise another authority for the overcharging of the dishes compared to their prices on the given on the menu.Unbelievably bad service. It seems wrong to even call it service. These people should not be in the service industry.Vegetarian options: There were none
