I ordered a custom birthday cake for a 75th bday. the cake was very nice looking but it was loaded with thick icing (there was as much icing as there was cake) and the cake itself was extremely dry.

My advice to them is that they must understand that what they do is mission critical. Imagine them screwing up one's birthday!!! From my many experiences, with them every time I order a cake online (and this is what they want), somebody will call me and we will agree on the details. Then somebody else will communicate with me by email and will screw it up. I noticed that this person communicating with me by email would not know about the 1st call. I got used to this and I got to the point where I could deal with them. This last time, nobody called and the one communicating by email was slacking and asking stupid questions at the pace of one question a day until the celebration day came in and we got no cake. Good luck to you guys, but for me I am no longer doing business with you.

But now I order two cake marbré and I just had one and the first one is not evil like I heard or it
Second there even make it, it was a number two but they didn’t make it. I called to make sure that my order was already make and that everything was OK because I put 50% of deposit and when I came to grab my cakes.
I just got one and of my cake And it was not me I wanted.

I'm told their cakes are delicious and they can make them for any occasion and in any design you choose ... but today, it was my first visit and I had the zaatar croissant, halewit el jeben, the mafrookeh and their kunafa in the kaaki. Every item was exceptional.
They make the best kunafa in the NCR, and the other desserts we tried were also very decadent and rich in flavors. You can taste the quality of the ingredients and the authenticity of the recipes in every bite.
Pâtisserie L'Étoile is definitely a hidden gem for us who live in the west end of Ottawa ... it's definitely worth the drive across the bridge to Gatineau.

First of all, the cake here is extremely dry. My partner brought home 2 cupcakes from here and the chocolate cupcake was so old that it was actually moldy, and the vanilla cupcake was just as stale tasting. Do not buy cake from here.

Really so good, I highly recommend it, it's the best pastry in Outaouais. Go and encourage them, believe me. I'm from Hull but I go to this pastry shop because it's excellent

I had a candy cake made for my 12 year old boy. I paid a lot of money for the cake and was really disappointed and shocked by the cake which is supposed to be candy. I showed him a photo of what I wanted. and it's not that at all that I had and what's more the cake was disgusting, I couldn't eat it at all, it was all soaking as if it had been in water, very very disappointed with it, I'll never be able to go back and I advice to anyone to go there I will show you a photo of what I wanted what I got and I had to modify it and what's more it's not edible
