Run run run for hour life, abusive ill mannered staff, used to visit before covid in spite of below average food but proximity was key, as we lived 3 minutes away on foot. The only good thing was the service (before 2020) but afterwards they changed their staff and though they seemed understaffed then the person who served us did a good job.
Afterwards we were mistreated by the least to say impolite staff who left us standing for 35 minutes while half the restaurant was empty and then when we walked to them and asked very politely to be seated they rudely adrssed us as if they were doing us a favor and decided to split our party of 6 who included an autistic child and an elderly grandmother onto two tables, and before we even opened our mouth to politely ask to be seated at a larger table which was right next to the too suggested tables the rude individual looked at me like with chauvinist grim and said using slurs to say take it or leave it, never have I ever har such rude treatment as a paying customer, we frequently visited and paid at least 250 to 350$ per visit yet they clearly don't care for our business and we will never set foot there ever again we went and had us an amazing family meal at a restaurant where owners and staff respect themselves and their clients.
If I could gove them zero stars I would be generous because they don't deserve to be in business with an attitude like this.
I RECOMMEND THAT YOU FIND ANOTHER PLACE and there are plenty all around.

Indigestion alert! Contrary to the sign on the door when entrering, the poutine is NOT made with St Albert cheese curds because they were melted when I was given my order minutes after it was made. The fries were not all cooked through, some hard ones. Sore stomach. Sigh. A shame.
Playing the loto qc machines and I was told today stay at least 10 feet from the machines while eating a pogo on a stick or that I could not play. The owner must be rtd for sure, im never going back there and no one should go, there's a 100 better place with a better atmosphere.

Despite the name, they do not have a patio.
Location: right on Greber (a main street), easy to find and easy to access the parking lot and front entrance.
Parking: a decent sized parking lot in front with plenty of parking for the size of the restaurant.
Accessibility: it’s accessible by wheelchair and the washrooms are also wheelchair accessible.
Ambience / aesthetic: it’s a typical diner. It’s clean and in reasonable shape, but there are no frills. The restaurant is clearly delivering food, not an experience.
Service: the staff are very friendly, and very relaxed. Almost too relaxed, if I may be honest. I get the sense that the restaurant mostly caters to local regular customers. There’s no host/hostess to meet you at the door, and you’re expected to seat yourself, even though there’s no sign stating that. When I was there at 13h00 on a Thursday, they were not at all busy, but the servers only came around every 20-25 minutes, which I don’t consider very much. I want to clarify, the staff are kind, but the establishment feels very laissez-faire.
Drink: I had coffee and it was fine.
Food: I had the “Greber Poutine” and it came with lots of meat and lots of gravy. It was decent and the price was very reasonable.
Washroom: there are single stall male and female washrooms with baby change tables available. The male washroom was relatively clean and everything was functional.

It’s a decent spot for a quick lunch. I’ve heard people say it’s the best poutine in Gatineau — I wouldn’t go that far, but it’s decent, with room for improvement. The portion size was very generous for the price, which was a nice surprise. The chicken fingers were clearly the frozen grocery store kind, and the Coke was a bit flat. Overall, not bad for a casual bite, but nothing standout
Best poutine in Gatineau! The fries are done well, not too greasy. Generous portions and great service. I’ve been going every two weeks for a while now.
food is good service is excellent and its a resto bar so its peaceful and a good place to have a drink and eat a big poutine

For years, Patio Vidal has been a must-see in the greater Outaouais region.
Known for a super varied menu and its opening hours (almost 24/7). We are never wrong.
The people who work there have been there for a long time, the waitresses are super friendly and don't mind chatting with us when the restaurant is less busy, which is always pleasant!
I love stopping after work when I close my shop around 9:00 p.m. and knowing that I will be able to enjoy myself and even be able to order a lunch plate if I want. And that's exactly what I did tonight.
The prices are really great!
I was treated to a nice, well-filled plate and a drink of my choice. all for less than $20
When you are uncertain, the Patio is a sure bet!
THANKS
