False advertisement says there open

Caramela hosted my grad party and they were kind enough to pitch in an excellent decor with last minute notice, buffet was nice, the atmosphere was nice and calm for our invitees. The owners are very kind and the party was a success.

By far my favourite African restaurant, the environment is welcoming and so are the staff 10/10

Caramela is always such a worth it experience, the Sunday buffet is worth every penny !!

This place is amazing for african food! went there with my friends for the weekend from montreal and service in weekend it’s buffet and it has everything you can ever ask for including foufou! and the owner is amazing and service is great! very highly recommended 😍😍😍

Most defiantly not ordering from here again I had ordered steak beef and the grillot akabenz and woke up in the middle of the night sick to my stomach with diarea and whilst dying on the toilet I eventually ended up puking into my shower wich caused it to clog ..terrible experience ...the food tasted good while I ate it but after wards it defiantly didn't sit right

I had the pleasure of dining at Caramela in Gatineau on February 1st with my spouse and another couple, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is clean and modern, creating a welcoming environment that immediately set the tone for a lovely evening. The decor is tasteful, adding to the overall vibe without being overwhelming.

Now, let’s talk about the food—simply outstanding! Each dish was a delightful experience, expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. We also indulged in some cocktails, which were equally impressive. They were well-crafted and complemented our meals perfectly.

The service was another highlight. Our server was attentive and friendly, ensuring that we had everything we needed without being intrusive. It was clear that the staff takes pride in their work, contributing to the overall positive experience.

In summary, Caramela is a gem in Gatineau. With excellent food, fantastic cocktails, and attentive service, I can’t recommend it highly enough. We’ll definitely be returning!

Ordered Lamb and rice via uber eats. What I received is 3 pieces of big bones no meat, quantity of rice was very low, so I pay for bones and bit rice. This is ridiculous

This is a must-visit! The ambiance is cozy and elegant, making it perfect for any occasion. The food is fantastic—highlights include the Isombe (Burundian dish which tastes fantastic) . Each dish is beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Service is top-notch; our server was attentive and knowledgeable. Overall, a wonderful dining experience. Highly recommend!
