Phew, I expected better. Saturday evening, the restaurant was filled to a fifth of its capacity. A waitress welcomed us and offered us a table, nothing more. The menu is very difficult to understand: table d'hôte, table d'hôte with 2 starters, 2 desserts!? The waitress brought us hot rolls. She offered to open our bottles of wine for us (there were 7 of us), did not offer us an ice bucket for the white wine. Our waitress was rather shy. We asked questions about the menu. The food is passable: good chicken skewer, decent rice, vinaigrette and house salad lack flavor and the tzaziki sauce is too liquid. We received water when we arrived and the waitress, the only one in the whole restaurant, did not offer us any afterwards. Looks like the sugar pie was good. A little music in the restaurant would create a nice atmosphere. There are beautiful decorative lights in the large windows. A beautiful restaurant that could have potential. Bring your own wine!

I am completely outraged because I heard about this restaurant on 104.7fm Outaouais and I was calling the Gatineau branch to make a reservation for 4 when the hostess asked me to speak in English. When I asked her to refer me to someone bilingual she hung up on me. I immediately redialed to speak to a superior and she blocked me on the first ring. I'll call 104.7fm tomorrow without fail. It is simply unacceptable in Gatineau, even if Aylmer is more English-speaking, to be served in English only and have no choice to speak French!!! I don't insult each other easily and I work in English every day as a civil servant, but to be hung up on for asking to speak in French!!!!???? This is the ultimate insult. Zero tolerance.

Everything except the desserts probably cooked outside was execrable. The rice tasted like bovril powder, the Caesar salad was passable but in a tiny portion, two small pieces of tasteless potatoes and a chicken escalope that was too thin and dry as was the evening meal last Saturday and not to mention the price which everyone likes know is exorbitant in these times.
My partner, for his part, ate a plate of chicken and beef shawarma that looked like it was flambé because the meat was so black and dry.
I do not recommend that anyone spend money in this restaurant which, although it is welcome given that we can bring our wine there, is far from meeting our expectations.
And I'm not talking about the service ?

Amazing dining experience at Qaisar's!

We just had dinner this evening at Qaisar's restaurant and everything on my plate tasted both unique and delicious, way beyond what you would find in the usual restaurants. Each dish had exceptional flavor that really impressed me. In addition to the incredible quality of the food, the service was equally impeccable. Many thanks to Lili, who was wonderful throughout the evening with her warm welcome and attention to detail.

I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to experience authentic flavors with impeccable service.

Twice at the Ottawa restaurant in one week. Great menu, great service (Han is great), good soup and desserts. Very affordable lunch menu, good variety, pleasant dinner (plate for two, among others). To try it is to adopt it!

Parking: Ample space, easy access, an asset!

The experience was a little weird. The food itself was really good and decent portions. We were the only ones there, yet the services wasn't that great. The chef was super friendly and nice. I did find it weird that he was the one to take our order and cook the food.I will definitely try this place again, but most likely will opt for delivery or takeout.
