I didn't actually go the restaurant Chez Wally's but rather the food truck during an event at Parc Mousette in Gatineau. The explosive panini was was wonderful. Sandwiches aren't usually my go-to meal but this was well balanced between meat, cheese, sauce...easy to eat and very easy to enjoy! Service was great. The wait didn't feel long at all and panini was warm and fresh! It was a very hot day today so the atmosphere could have been better, but I don't think Chez Wally controls the weather, yet! ;-) Highly recommend visiting the Chez Wally's food truck for amazing panini sandwich! Looking forward to visiting the restaurant one day. :-)

I went and dined in after going out with my sister's and the food looked good and tasted amazing I ordered a small poutine with yellow sauce and it was so good I've missed having that sauce! My only issue which isn't really much of a complaint personally was my curds were still a little cold but they had just opened so the gravy didn't have time to melt it so lunch time around 12 is the best time to go! Absolutely worth it and very yummy also WILDLY affordable

What if I told you there is a place you can go where a kind and gentle man will serve you a sandwich he made just for you. He will put two decorative olives on it because he really cares about his food. And you can take that sandwich and sit under a tree near a sparkling river. The autumn sun will kiss your face, and for a few minutes the world will be even more beautiful than usual.

We were just looking for a fast lunch in Gatineau and stumbled upon Wally's food truck. On our way to his food truck, we were amazingly pleased with the view of the beautiful community across the river. There was a very nice walk area and bike lane.
Wally's truck was parked in that big parking lot so you won't miss it.
We were welcomed by a smiling face, Wally who explained to us his meals. We even had the chance to try his Wally's gravy before buying so that was extra nice. His gravy had a little hint of spice, and really good.
We ordered the spicy Deli panini, Philly steak panini, large poutine, cheese dog and pop.
All in all, it was very flavorful and filling sandwiches that's reasonably priced.
Wally claims he makes his own gravy for the poutine and it shows! It's delicious. We got the spicy gravy. It is spicy but not overpowering to a point of not tasting anything. We also got the Dragon sandwich. Another of his specialties. Basically a spicy Philly cheese steak. Also a winner. Wally (the man) is also just full of cheer. Make sure to ask him about his firetruck! A must stop if you're passing by and are feeling hungry in any way.

Fantastic poutine! I highly recommend the Wally gravy - the hint of heat/spice is excellent and really well-balanced The dragon panini was absolutely delicious - peppers and Philly steak had so much flavor. And Wally is a real chill guy, you gotta stop by and say hi. Definitely a go-to spot for a some great food!

Book really for your next event and you will not be disappointed! We booked Wally for our wedding and our guests could not stop raving about it. The food is better than what you expect from a chip truck and the service from Wally was terrific, you can tell he takes pride is what he does.
