A quiet restaurant with friendly and efficient service. The quality of the food was good and the quantity for a dinner for two meant we had lunch for tomorrow. We had a 10% discount because we stayed in the same hotel.

The food is so hard to eat, it takes too long to serve the good and the employees are not kind. I will not comeback here 1:30mins waiting for only 3 types of food

I am a Chinese and this is the worst Chinese food that I ever see in Quebec before I went to this restaurant I saw a lot of reviews online which mentioned the cigarette and the wonton soup, but I didn’t believe that. When the wonton soup was served, it was planned and tasteless. Obviously they used the frozen one but even the frozen one they use the worst one and we order general town chicken thinking it is a special of their restaurant and it must be good right but the outside of the chicken is not crispy which it is supposed to be, and we also ordered the stirfry beef and chicken, but the beef taste like jerky and I don’t know why usually fresh beer will not taste like jerky, and when the kitchen door was open, it smell like cigarettes, which is very horrible and I don’t know how they passed hygiene test from the government. It is hard to find a constant waiter and I will have to look forward one which is a little bit ridiculous for a restaurant. I mean they don’t have QR code on the table for ordering ourselves so they should at least have a waiter right if they don’t have a waiter, they should set up the auto automatic order. and the song list they are playing is very old-fashioned. We’re Chinese song that’s not suitable for the restaurant. If they are using the hit songs from 4030 years old, which we don’t listen to it in the restaurant if they want to use a good song list, they should use a lot of instrument. Is that find any instrument playlist on Spotify and it will be better than this. I am very surprised that they have higher than 3.0 score, which is the same as the McDonald’s in my opinion McDonald’s is way better than this restaurant. I know you want to mimic Chinese food, but please do some research before actually implementing.

Take out was simply not good
General Tao chicken like inedible rubber
Undercooked vegetables. Ribs to hard to chew. Soggy tasteless bean sprouts and veg. The only thing that was edible for me were the egg-rolls. The young guy at the cash was so nice.

I wonder if the restaurant reads the comments here because despite several repetitive complaints, it doesn't change much.
1) delivery requested for 12:15 p.m. received at ... 11:30 a.m.
2) ordered ravioli with peanut sauce: bland meat, peanut sauce very diluted with water, does not coat and no taste of peanut, very bland too
3) ordered Tom Yum soup which was more like a tasteless vegetable soup with just 4 small shrimp, half the container filled with raw vermicelli (I had to recook the soup to soften the vermicelli so it was edible).
Seriously the chef should be replaced or relearn his recipes because I ate a much better Tom Yum in a restaurant of the Thai Zone chain while it should be better in an independent restaurant.

Last experience for me 😞

I ordered chicken fried rice, but it's just not good rice with two small pieces of chickens. The price is not worth it. I would never pass there again.

I personally love the food and enjoy visiting frequently. Its usually a quiet atmosphere (in the dinning section anyways).. The owner is very friendly, too nice for someone who does as much as he does. He takes the orders "in house" , online, on the phone.. He catters to the customers every need, keeps the Restaurant&KITCHEN spotless (Yes, i'm lucky i got to see backstage🤗.. Its IMPECCABLE!) lol He is there everyday from opening time until closing time, he has part time workers only.. This guy is also the cook! I don't know about you but i can definately admit that i couldnt tough it out, ive tried working in restaurants(Not this one) But the pressure gets to me, the fast pace is fine but the (customers)!, getting all sorts of rude behavior&Even Death-Threats for forgetting to put utensils in a bag, Hungry people are no joke! He gives great service and almost~single~handedly manages a whole Restaurant on his own, oh i forgot he also delivers from time to time when he has no delivery~guy.. I could go on and on because when i talked to him i was amazed by how hard~working and generous this man is.. I wanted to properly give him a shout~out and say i have the OUTMOST respect for this man. OH, in case it wasnt clear, i definately recommend this place!!

Ordered number 5 for three people. After an hour and a half of waiting (I was assured 40 minutes - which is already a long time) the order finally arrived. A small bag. This is #5 but for one person.
No acceptable solution to compensate for the fact that we don't have enough to eat even after 90 minutes of waiting.
Customer satisfaction does not seem to be a priority for this establishment. Next time we will order elsewhere.

A nice surprise! The reviews are very negative about this restaurant and we discovered the complete opposite of what is mentioned there. The General Tao is excellent, just as good as the Sesame Fried Beef.
Truly one of the best we have eaten. The atmosphere is good, the only thing missing is Asian music to be perfect. The prices are very reasonable, a plus. A favorite for us!!!

It's extremely rare that I give a bad rating, but I'll explain.

First, I ate at this restaurant with my family, and I also ordered at another time on DoorDash. Unfortunately, it was the same experience, which confirms my opinion.

From the outside, the name is appealing – who doesn’t love General Tao? – and the restaurant is cute. The menu is on the high end of prices but there is plenty of choice. The service is fast, nothing more. There was no music in the restaurant, which created an uncomfortable silence, but hey, that's a detail.

The problem lies with the food. We ordered a large mixed table, so several dishes. The wonton soup was good but lacked a bit of flavor, easy to fix. The egg rolls, egg rolls and fried dumplings were good. Then the main courses arrived. Unfortunately, two of the three dishes lacked flavor...not bad, but tasteless. The real problem is General Tao, the dish the restaurant is named after. I've tasted it twice now, and both times it was really, really bad. Almost only breading, no meat, tastes like old oil, and the sauce is not good at all… We informed the waiter, who said it was a bad batch, but remember I Tried this dish two weeks apart, and both times it was not good.

So. I think the concept is good, the atmosphere can easily be improved, the service can be more attentive, but they definitely need to review their recipes and add authentic and typical flavors of this cuisine. If this is done, they can have great success!

What a waste of $80. The ambiance is awful, with no music. If you like stale food served for dinner, be my guest, but I found the dishes bland and old-tasting. The General Tao’s were mostly batter with barely any meat inside rice stale and hard…chop suey had no taste. Never again—avoid this place if you can.
