Probably the best indian/pakistaneses food I taste! I am going to this restaurant for 10 years now and it still the best.

Terrible experience at this restaurant! The service was painfully slow, and the staff seemed indifferent. The food, despite being overpriced, was subpar. A disappointing visit that left me questioning the value for money. Definitely won't be returning. Save your time and money – better options are plentiful elsewhere.

Food took at least 40 minutes to come, it wasnt bad but the bbq items (lawrence rd chicken tandoori and mutton chops) tasted like lighter fluid? Very unnatural charcoal flavor. The chutneys they came with were good tho and masked that flavor. Pani puri was good also but not enough puffs for all that water.

Indoor decor is very aesthetic. Food and service was very good. Especially the guy at front was very humble and welcoming. He made sure we had everything including refilling of our water glass several times. He was the only one serving on this (18 December, 2023) Monday night. He was so gentle and humble.

Located in a strip mall on Newman Blvd, Nawab-e-Punjab is a surprisingly well appointed and designed restaurant in what you would normally consider to be a non-descript stripe mall. Clearly the owners invested a great deal to create a beautiful tribute to Indian design while still respecting a modern décor. It really is a wonderful set.Unfortunately the food and service did not quite match. It wasn't bad, just not at the same level. The menu is extensive and offers some different dishes than one normally finds at Indian restaurants in the city. I am not sure why, but based on the name of the resto, I would say that it relates to the Punjabi area of Indian and hence a slightly different cuisine. We elected to try some of these different options, and after suggestions from the waiter, ordered as starters the Tomato/Coriander soup (was just ok...lacked any special taste) and the Subz Makai Corn Soup (very good). For the mains we had the Shamm Savera (as recommended by the waiter...a spinach wrap stuffed with paneer in a tomato based sauce), Dum Aloo Kashmiri (potatoes stuffed with cottage cheese in a tomato-ish sauce), Butter Chicken, and the Punjab Chicken Curry. All together we had four main dishes plus Garlic Naan (was OK but a little on the chewy side), Basmati Rice and a huge portion of Raita (was very good). The main dishes all tasted similar with no unique flavors between them...it's not that it was bad just surprisingly bland. I am not sure if this is because we ordered too many of the same/similar dishes or if the Punjabi flavors are more muted and less acute than traditional Indian cuisine (at least to what I am accustomed to).As for service; everyone was extremely friendly, always smiling and helpful. The downside is that they appear to lack any measurable experience in table service restaurants. When we went the restaurant was almost empty (as we ate early) but filled up to about 50% when we were leaving...but it took almost 20 minutes to get our bill. Again, while they were very nice I just found they lacked some professionalism in the trade. A bit of a mixed bag but worth a visit nonetheless. Enjoy!

I had reserved a table for two in advance (which is what I'd recommend for the weekends), and we were presented two seats by the window, which were one of the most comfortable seats I've had a chance to sit on in the recent past. What was good? The experience!I ordered Dahi ke kebab, and Seekh Kebab as starters along with Tequila Pani Puri (these were surprisingly strong). For the main course, the vegetarian subzi with a bread basket were more than enough to warrant a take out bag. I haven't seen shahi tukda in any other Indian restaurants in Montreal so I had to try it, and it didn't disappoint either. The restaurant had a decent wine collection and I'd recommend you ask the server for a pairing if you are unsure of which one(s) to pick. The timing at which the food was brought out to us was perfect, giving us enough time to savour the appetizers, talk and enjoy the wine pairing. And yes, the bread basket was fresh and delectable! What could be better? The little things! The service was good, but we were expecting our server to refill our wine glasses. The chutney along with the kebabs was provided after a couple of them were already eaten, which isn't a big deal but we'd have liked it to come with the food. Lastly, soap was missing in one of the restrooms. I don't want to be a "negative Nancy" but every little detail adds to one's experience at the restaurant.Overall, this one has to be one of the more precious Indian restaurants I've been to in and around the island. The kind-hearted servers and hosts give you a warm reception and make sure you're well fed. The ambiance and music makes the experience exponentially better. Would recommend it to anyone who is interested in trying (north) Indian food with a touch of royalty.

Good place to try Indian food and spend time in a luxurious atmosphere. The food selection and portions are good. The restaurant is clean and nice, and it doesn't have a strong smell of Indian spices, so your clothes will not smell after.Waiters are attentive to details. We were celebrating and brought our own cake; they took and lit the candles and played the happy birthday song without us requesting it.Only recommendation would be to add hangers for jackets; otherwise, there is no place to put them. If you sit in the booth with a lot of jackets, you end up putting them all over the place, which ruins the atmosphere.

We went all the family for the open buffet on Sundays. The food was great. Authentic Indian cuisine. The place is clean. Good service. The naan are fresh. Not the best place for people who can tolerate spicy

Great atmosphere and service. A great date spot if you want to go to a fancier Indian restaurant instead of somewhere more casual.Service was great! We forgot our leftovers and the waiter caught us in the parking lot with it!Food was as good but the naan could have been a little softer. Other than that the food was great. Will def go back and try other options.

Vegetarian options: They got plenty of vegetarian options.

Parking: There's tons of parking especially if you come in the evening.

DONT GO. If I could put a zero I’d put it. Don’t let the pictures of the “upscale” decor deceive you. This isn’t an elevated take on Indian food. This has to be the worst dinner I had to pay for. Complete robbery. You can get better food in Jean talon for a fraction of the price. We had to wait 2 hours for our food. The food was terrible all the food tasted the same. The veggie platter was all dry food as if it were frozen and reheated. I didn’t even get all the items I ordered. I won’t be surprised if this place doesn’t close down soon if they don’t change their ways.

My family and I were looking forward to the Sunday brunch at this restaurant. This would be our first visit. We do not live in LaSalle however, we have enjoyed Indian food on the south shore, the Montreal area, across Canada and the USA. This is the first time we literally had to leave after trying just 2 bites of the appetizers. The chicken pieces were sour and turned my daughter’s stomach immediately. My husband and I found the same issue and mentioned it to the server. We asked if we could pay for the one samosa(which was ok) and the 2 pieces of chicken on our plate. He was very kind and said he couldn’t do that since we didn’t really eat and that he would speak to the chef. He offered to make us something from the a la carte menu but at that point we were turned off completely. We told him maybe another time. The decor is lovely, it’s a shame the food did not match the look.
